The first Crysis did EXACTLY that.
It's not open world, but each level is a mini (but still massive) sandbox with objectives connected with a cinematic (if basic) storyline.

The writing and pacing in Crysis was an artistic abortion. Crysis 2 wasn't War & Peace, but it was certainly an improvement.

They both have crappy writing, but at least Crysis 1 made sense as a simple blockbuster. Crysis 2 retconned everything (the suit is alien technology, and sentient apparently), and nobody seemed to have any reason to do what they were doing.

I agree with Dr-Peace, at least the Crysis story was coherent. Nothing all that special in the story for either though. Like the aliens, anyone remember they where iced based or am I blind as a bat.
I stopped playing Crysis 2 MP a week after release, I have 2 days off I may try it again if I can stop playing FEAR 3 and SC2 lol.

The DX 11 are great, but the only big difference I saw in the Hi-Res textures was that I could read the headlines of newspapers lying around.

You may be correct, but it doesn't change the fact that it's nice to have.
Regardless I see no problem with ANYONE bragging about their PC specs. So long as they aren't putting anyone else down who cares? If someone has spent thousands on a top grade PC I think the least they should be able to do is be proud of it.
