i do hope they give you the option to control the flying with the sixaxis or the "normal" way. i haven't tried any games that use the sixaxis to control direction yet so i'm not sure yet if i'll like it
If they use the extra month to make it a better game, then they deserve some credit for it. But only some: Sony is well aware they can't afford a high-profile failure in Lair.
this is pretty funny actually... just got my PS3 in the mail yesterday and packaged inside is a booklet of games - with what Sony THOUGHT would be the release dates back in Nov. 06.

The only game I've played with Sixaxis controls is the demo of Motor Storm, and man, are the controls sensitive. I don't know if it's that way in the full version, though.
As for this, I'm sorry to hear about the reviews. I thought the game looked pretty nicely done, personally. Anyone know if there'll be a demo of it on the PSN anytime?

Thanks to Lair, Warhawk doesn't even have to be good. It just has to suck less.

My heart is full of sorrow. Not because of Lair, but because of the death of JFK. It really was a tragedy. Lair getting delayed also sucks, kinda.
Oh well...at least there are still Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction coming in the next few months.

Strange but both metacritic and gamerankings don't list the EGM review and the other reviews seem to paint a better picture. I'll wait to reserve judgment until after I see the average from everyone.
Maybe they delayed it because they will add a sekrit Talladega Nights Stage...

I think Lair has all the makings of an epic game but if the controls are bad its all for naught. Only providing motion sensing controls is asking for trouble considering many gamers hate them.
Sadly I bought a PS3 to late so I don't own Talladega Nights, but I followed Nex's advice and actually got Panzer Dragoon Orta a couple of days ago so there should be some fun to be had.
Lair will be amazing. Who gives a shit about EGM. if they are too stupid to learn the controls .. they shouldn´t review games anymore.
warhawk is amazing. i had the beta for a while but ever since it got shut down theres been a big void in my ps3. cant wait for aug 28. lair i can wait for as long as they make it as good as possible.
unfortunately there isnt time to fix the controls if theyre busted...I am fairly sure that a large portion of the time spent between last year's E3 and now was tweaking the controls for sixaxis. perhaps they are just adding the option to use the sticks? Ill reserve judgement until I play it, but I am prepared for the worst.
Well, there's one less reason for me to keep saving for a PS3. I still want one, but primarily for Blu-Ray...so far, with the exception of Resistance and Ninja Gaiden, there's nothing on the system that is a "Buy". I had really high hopes for Lair, too...it was one of the titles that made me actually WANT to get a PS3. Now, its yet another blow to an already downed system. Here's hoping that Ratchet and Heavenly Sword do REALLY well
