THIS. But I guess everybody knew it would be cool to hate on DNF even before it came out.
Because only that would give him the right to call reviewers clueless.
Bloody clueless actors, they wouldn't know real acting if it punched them in the nose! Says the marketing executive.
As long as people like you keep proving the stories are worth writing, they'll get written.
Content only lasts for as long as an audience keeps responding.
Yeah.. The PC version has a pretty low frequency of load times. It's amazing how shitty the controls still are, though.
CoD is shit too, but somehow DNF is shitter.
I thought you wrote a whole article about your review process explaining that its all subjective and there is no such thing as an objective review....
They why are you so butt hurt when people don't agree with you on your reviews, or when other people state they actually like the game you decided was a piece of shit.
Goodness gracious man, calm down. I don't think duke was good game, fuck i though it was pretty bad and I agree with your review, but seriously dude, just because people don't think follow your opinions about games, doesn't make them idiots or fanboys or whatever type name-calling you want to use.
Grow up
"Content only lasts for as long as an audience keeps responding."
Then please stop talking about DNF so we don't have to have more of that content.
JERK!
Yes. You know what, let's put Duke Nukem Forever in an entire category by itself. Rest assured, when comparing this game to itself, it earns a very deserved 10/10. Duke Nukem Forever is simply the best possible game in the category "Duke Nukem Forever". Be proud.
Jim start suckin'
I'm not butthurt. Please point to where I was. I just thought it was pretty hypocritical that the critics are now "clueless" after they slammed the game, when they aren't considered that beforehand.
It's not the disagreement that I have a problem with, it's the grounds upon which they're disagreeing. Writing off a review as "clueless" and erroneously stating that the reviews compared DNF to COD (patently untrue -- in fact, several reviews complained about the way in which Duke Nukem Forever COPIED Call of Duty) is a pretty shit counterpoint.
Really we should all just wait a few years until Gearbox comes out with a proper Duke game that they make themselves.
Also, it seems people are misunderstanding something. NOBODY wanted Call of Duty out of DNF, but in reality, that's pretty much what it is.
I'm not sure comparing Vanquish to Fallout: New Vegas is a even comparison. Fallout is an old and very popular franchise. Vanquish is a new IP from a quirky newcomer. There were more eyes on Fallout to begin with. To refine the earlier point, negative reviews of 'popular' games generate more traffic.
John Madden was little more than a voice actor in the Madden NFL games, and he sung the praises of each annual release. I wouldn't expect any less from this joker, more Duke games = more money in his pockets right?
Besides, I've never heard an actor say "That film I was in sucks balls, don't waste your money."
Actors do that all the time. Carrell has said Evan Almighty was shit and Shia whatever said Indiana Jones 4 sucked.
When Jim says: "Read the review guides". He's basically saying: "Check out all my posts to see how we get traffic here in Destructoid!"
Anyway jokes (or is it? :0o) aside, I DID see alot of COD/Homefront/Crysis(wtf!) references to DNF from other reviewers...pretty unfair and non-sensica on one-hand, however I don't give a fuck about those other critics.
HOWEVER Jim...please publish an article on Gamespot doing graphical comparisons of this game to other FPS games and or previous installments in the series. THAT will be popcorn-worthy!
When you have to rewrite your guidelines on how to review videogames based on the hip and edgy score you gave duke to defend your score, thats when you became butthurt.
You REWROTE THE RULES to prove your point.
You are pulling a foxnews.
