Here we have the world premiere of The Jace Hall Show, a weekly five-minute show with a focus on lifestyle, culture, celebrities and their relationship to videogames. Why should you care? A few minutes into the five-minute spot is the very first footage of 3D Realm's mysterious Duke Nukem Forever. The surprise? It looks pretty damned good, and am I crazy, or does it remind you a bit of Prey?
So who the hell is this Jace Hall? Former senior vice president of Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment Jason Hall has been in the industry for more than a hot minute. He loves gaming, the videogame industry, knows celebrities and also dated Playboy Playmate Nikki Ziering. In other words, he's just like you, except girls and important people talk to him.
Now that you've set your eyes on Duke Nukem Forever, are you a believer? Was it worth the wait?
I'd make fun of Jason Hall for using the nickname "Jace", but I'm pretty sure that dude could snap me in two without breaking a sweat. Have you ever seen the size of his arms?
I promise it will be less than what everyone hopes it is. There's no way something that people have been waiting 10 years for could possibly live up to that level of hype.
If the funny one liners are there, and the violence is there, that is ALL THERE NEEDS TO BE for duke nukem forever to be good. Fuck "innovative gameplay mechanics & story" this is duke fucking nukem we are talking about here.

Duke Nukem 3D was one of the first PC games I played. Man, giving an in-game stripper some money to “Shake it, baby” when you’re 12 years old...well, it never ceased to be amusing.
Wow, Duke looks 'alright' for a few seconds preview, watching out for that, loved the humour of Duke games also would be cool to hear 'Grabbag' recomposed again.
Expecting some jokes directed at Serious Sam, 'Blondie.
after 12 years, its a whole new world of videogames. what did duke have as competition then? doom, quake, thats about it in terms of credible 3d fps games (maybe wolfenstein etc)
what could elevate it above games like Halo or Cock of Doody 4 now? it has to have something going for it or it'll die on its arse as just another FPS game, which it doesnt deserve.

fuck, Duke's banter would give it some cred alone, along with the fact its a pretty iconic character. kind of shits on master chief/gordon freeman etc from a great height in terms of character, look, and general coolness.
He doesnt need depth, etc in the way that master chief etc would probably benefit from it - duke wasnt built that way. the whole attitude/gore/killing strippers thing could quite easily land it in some hot water - didnt do GTA any harm, the publicity it received just for BEING a grand theft auto game easily propelled it into its position as fastest selling game ever.
Looks great! Still, it's not worth waiting for 12 years. That's alot of Duke that just didn't get released. I wonder how shitty the games had to be for them to not even release one under another title in the meantime.
I'll probably buy it, but I probably won't forgive the delay.
Duke Nukem is the origional Master Chief, only difference is that Duke is so badass that he throws away all the body armor and dons a pair of sunglasses and his trustworthy ammunition carrying harness. Besides, whens the last time a FPS hero ripped off the head of the boss of the spacestation part and shit down it's neck.
