Duke Nukem Forever - Alert the Internets! New pic!

Duke Nukem Forever pic #3

They really mean business this time. Yesterday a new and crappy scan of Duke Nukem Forever appeared on the 3D Realms forums. The image shows a dark room filled with stuff that can't be expressed properly by a non-hardcore fan like me. After various scan and photoshop jobs however, the first better quality images were uploaded and ... I still can't make out what the hell is going on. Maybe this is a Chinese myth dragon or something, I don't know. Hopefully a high resolution picture will be released soon.

Bungie spends time and money putting together an intricate ARG to promote their game.

3D Realms releases production still from Howard the Duck.

Hey, this could turn out to be an effective marketing technique for them. Every time they start working on a different game, they should invent some BS about the next Duke Nukem to get gamers to flock to their site.

Gawd I remember being in awe at the first ever DNF videos way back in 1996. When Duke was blasting the pig cops from the back of a truck in some sort of highway chas it looked better than sliced bread. It's sad really that the sequel to a game I adored as a kid, and looked forward to so much a decade ago has just never been released. And in a way I don't want it to be, it will always remain in my heart the badass scenes of Duke blasting pig cops from the back of a truck.......

Wow.

Honestly, I find the balls of 3D Realms through all of this incredible. Absolutely incredible. Releasing tiny, lame screenshots actually makes the DNF saga more insulting to gamers.

All of this time and secrecy, they seriously better be hiding the sequel to The Bible.

I think this game would be a lot more of a blockbuster upon a release if it wasn't as comedic a series. IE, Quake, Half-Life, or Indigo Prophecy would turn heads to make a sequel after so long. I mean, compare these reactions...
"Oh my god.....that.....that teaser was just...beautiful. It was awesome when that guy just turned and said 'War. War never changes.
I NEVER thought they would come out with this, but this is just...AWESOME!!! I love you, Game Company!"
vs
"DUKE! F**K YEAH! DIG DA CHICKS!"
