Due to demand, Konami reissues PlayStation 2 games in UK photo

It's always nice to hear that a company is listening to its customers. In a time where PlayStation 2 console and game sales are finally slowing down, Konami re-releases some of their more in-demand titles to appease customers.

The new old PS2 games from Konami:

  • Suikoden Tactics
  • Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
  • Silent Hill 2, 3, and 4

"They are proper reissues," a spokesperson told Eurogamer. "Konami has put them out at budget price because of demand. They are re-manufactured. They are ours."

"We've manufactured certain amounts depending on the title, and they're being bought by wholesalers so will likely pop up in independent rather than chain stores."

The pricing on these will be along the lines of Greatest Hits pricing, somewhere between 10 and 20 GBP.

Reissuing ZOE2 is HUGE. There are barely any copies left anymore.

I was just going to say, ZOE2 is the first thing I'll be buying. Wooo! :] Picked up the first not to long ago for cheap.

I have MGS2 and 3, I just want 1 and Subsistence :(

Everybody should own Silent Hill 2.

But haven't Konami already released The Silent Hill Collection? Or was that just for the UK only?

I would love for a ZOE2 reissue in the US, and please don't alter the cover-art with a GH tag or something along those lines. That is good news for those in the UK, not only with ZOE2 but with the Silent Hill games. This is all assuming the prints were as limited as they were in the US for those games.

Where on earth is "subsistence"? Konami? KONAMMIII??

If I could have ZOE2 on every platform I own, I'd be pretty happy about that.

Just sayin

OOOOH What if there was a ZoE with motion plus support where you rotate the wii-mote to controls the Frame's orientation!? Whoa!

Also, that's a fantastic header image

ZOE2 is OK, I guess. It plays pretty well, looks and sounds pretty good, but the story of the game is pretty over the top retarded. I'd love to get my hands on the Silent Hill games, though.

ZOE2 rocks.

I wouldn't mind buying the Silent Hills again.... if I hadn't sold them

Got ZoE2 for £30 around 3 months ago.

I'm glad other people will be able to play it though, because it's a very good game. Maybe they should re-do subsistence for me though -_0

I actually bought my Subsistence of a guy in the area for $10! The complete version, too.

But then I paid $40 for ZOE2 a couple months before, so I guess it balances out.

ZoE2 was such an awesome game. probably my fave experience from the PS2. now all i want is for kojima to announce ZoE3 for the PS3... that would make this entire year for me.

WTF seriously? NO Suikoden 2? Its like they are going out of their way to keep from reprinting that game, I refuse to pay some $100+ for that game on ebay!

@Genius: I think the key point in this article is "Konami reissues PlayStation 2 games." I can understand how easy it is to miss, though, due to it being in the title and all.

Yeah ok, point taken, its just when I see the words "Konami" and "reissue" I am always looking for the words Suikoden 2 to follow.

Definitely getting ZOE2 and Silent Hill. After giving them a shot, I need them now, but are kind of hard to get copies for a decent price.

Wanting a ZoE3 almost goes without saying these days. A resounding PS3 DO WANT!

I do remember Europeans complaining about ZoE2 and how hella hard it is to find. Though I wonder if that's the one us americans didn't get with the increased difficulty...if that's s, I may need to snatch it.

I kind of want the PAL ZOE2 since it is based on the special edition of the game only released in Japan with some fixes and a revamped Versus mode.

Wow, this is cool. I can see ZoE2 selling the most easily. I have the first one but missed the second.

I can't wait to see the sales numbers, and it hope it works out for Konami.

Maybe they should think about offering other PS2 games as downloads for PSP too. I'd still love Ring of Red on my PSP.

MGS2:Substance is pretty rare, so that's good.
MGS3:Snake Eater is common as muck, and can be bought for £10 used.
MGS3:Subsistance is super-rare, and regularly sells for £50/£60 on eBay.

Why can't they re-release Subsistance? >_<
