It's been almost a year since the comedy rock-rap duo of "8-Bit Duane " Zuwala and "The Amazing BrandO" Lackey made peace with each other following a very intense falling out. Back in the studio as The Adventures of Duane & BrandO, the boys made plans to return on tour as well as to remaster their first full-length album, LP of Devastation.
LP of Devastation [Remastered] arrived last week, and I've been enjoying the spit shine it received. If you aren't familiar with their work, DnB take our favorite NES heroes and turn them into hardcore thugs with mad rhyming skills. Even the more innocent characters like Nemo and Pac-Man gain an insatiable thirst for blood! The lyrics are so aggressive and intense that they couldn't possibly be anything other than firmly tongue-in-cheek. It's just damn fun!
For $9.99, you get the 31-track download which includes extra remixes and special censored versions of a couple of songs. For newbies, I recommend listening to "Battletoads," "Cheetahmen II," and "Mega Man 2" as soon as you can. Everyone else, enjoy yourself!
