Ever since I first saw Hitman Absolution at E3 last year, it's been firmly planted on my want-list for 2012. The old games were very firmly rooted in the stealth genre, and ever since the E3 gameplay went online, a lot of hardcore fans of the series were worried that Absolution would dumb the stealth aspects down too much.

The playthrough I was shown last week addressed these issues head on, and I think it's very safe to say that this game will please both veteran assassins and newcomers to the series. Check out the full interview for details!

the whole point of hitman is to not get spotted, making guns blazing a serious option is very bad because playing stealthy will most likely feel pointless as you can just as easily survive not hiding at all. Hitman is supposed to be a stealth game, if people dont like to play games like that dont play hitman. hitman should not allow for action shooter gameplay because it makes stealth the main draw of hitman less rewarding.

@qlum thats why you have a choice not to go in guns blazing, stealth fans are catered for in this game. It's not a full on balls out shooter. Point is it can be if you decide it to be.

Great interview Max, looking forward to the release of the game.

Max-
Honestly I'm just happy there's another Hitman game finally coming out, Kane and Lynch never really hit the spot for me so that's one thing to be glad about, that and how the game sounds like it'll host capability for more predatorial stealth? Sign me the fuck up! :D

Perhaps we played different versions of the previous Hitman games? Guns blazing has always been the easy way out for Hitman games. Certainly your score would reflect your poor playstyle, but it was always an option, and the easy option at that. I don't see why it would be any different now.

Hitman is ruined

They've gotten rid of the original componist
They've gotten rid of the face/voice model
They're turning the entire design of the game upside down

RIP Hitman we hardleh knew ye.

@Haters

Did you guys have awful aim or something? I loved sneaking into the middle of a level and then going on a total killing spree creating total chaos. I managed to get the psychopath rank on every level for Hitman 2.
