Party every day

PAX Prime 2013 is just three weeks away RIGHT NOW HOLY SHIT! As always, there will be a ton of games to see and play and panels and parties to attend, and we've listed the very best of them right here for your bookmarking convenience!

We've got meet-ups planned for just about every night, a panel on Sunday at 2 PM, a karaoke party Sunday night, and tons more fun stuff to do every day during and after the show. Hit the jump to see what we're up to!

THURSDAY

Join the Dtoid staff and community for some pre-PAX drinking and arcading at Gameworks! This is a great opportunity to meet new Dtoiders (name tags provided) and rekindle old flames, so plan on showing up about 9 PM if you want to be in pictures like the one you see above! (You know you do.)

This year's meetup is sponsored in part by LOST SAGA, the crazy fun, free-to-play fighting MMO where players get to battle as iconic arcade characters and build their world with friends, Minecraft-style. It's going to be awesome, so register here (for free) right now for a chance to win extra drink tickets, and plan to show up early; the first 200 people through the door get a free LOST SAGA bag! (Click here for more details.)

FRIDAY

Head on over to Elephant & Castle in downtown Seattle to share your PAX Day One stories with other Dtoiders! People will be rolling in all night long, but 9 PM is a good time to arrive to begin the festivities.

SATURDAY

There's nothing "official" planned for Saturn's day, so your best bet is to join the Dtoid PAX GroupMe to see what everyone is up to and plan something fun yourselves! You can do it!

SUNDAY

Strap on your big boy pants, because Sunday is our biggest day of the weekend!

First, Destructoid's annual PAX Prime panel will be at 2 PM in the Pegasus Theater. Niero, Dale, Hamza, Jim, and Holmes will reminisce on the life of a videogame blogger over the last seven years or so, and there will be a HUGE announcement to boot. You best be there!

Oh, and be sure to wear your Dtoid shirts when you show up, as we'll be having the annual group photo immediately following the panel! We're taking the picture in the auditorium this year, so attending the panel is a must if you want to be immortalized on film!

After the dust has settled, head on over to Barboza at 9 PM for a Dtoid karaoke party! Jonathan Holmes will be cosplaying as Caesar and MC-ing the event, so you won't want to miss this for the world! Check out this post for all the details (or click here to RSVP on Facebook).

MONDAY

During the day, join our Dtoid.TV team for their panel at 3 PM in the Kraken Theater, and at night, meet up with the staff and community for an evening of tearful goodbyes at Rock Bottom. Plan to arrive at 8 PM, but be warned: you'll never want to leave :'(

----------

Plans can change at any moment, so it's always a good idea to follow some of the staff and community team on Twitter for updates: Mr Andy Dixon, Beccy Caine, Conor Elsea, Andrew Benton, Dale North, Hamza Aziz, Conrad Zimmerman, Jordan Devore, and Niero will keep you in the loop. Keep in mind that it's always a good idea to bring cash to any of the venues listed above for easy drinking!

Also, be sure to join our Google Group to keep up to date with any plans at the show. And once you do, go sign up to wear the Mr Destructoid helmet on the show floor -- we may even try to live-stream his shenanigans, so you'll want to be in on this!

See you guys in a couple weeks DAYS HOLY SHIT!

High Strangeness lets you shift between 8-bit and 16-bit

Longtime Destructoid community member AgentMOO's High Strangeness was back at PAX this year with a nearly done build. With the help of indie publisher Midnight City, High Strangeness is coming out late this year on PC and consoles. Holmes and Ben "AgentMOO" Shostak talked about the "12- bit" adventure and enemies that get more nefarious and capable as you do when you switch to the 16-bit world.more
