I realize that E3 was almost a month ago, but we're still cutting together the videos we shot for The Destructoid Show. This one (which, ironically enough, was the first video I did from the show floor) features me and that lovable scamp Anthony Carboni chatting about XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
"Turn-based" and "strategy" are two terms that usually make me zone out and start staring out the window out of boredom, but I'm really curious about XCOM. I think it's the action figure/playset aesthetic that the game's got going on. It seems more like playing G.I. Joes in my backyard than getting stuck in a seven-hour game of RISK.
Brett put up his preview of it a few weeks back, and you should go check that out too.
Actually I'm sorry. I know it's serious, I just get sick of people talking about how boring turn based strategy is. It indicates a short attention span.
Looks consolized. Looking more forward to xenonauts. Seems more like a pc title for grown ups than a streamlined game gunning for Call Of Duty players (developer said this btw).
In this special, singularly-focused edition of Office Chat, I'm joined by Jim Sterling and Jordan Devore as we discuss our reactions to the Xbox One reveal. From the frustrations of having to figure out what to now call the ...
I'll admit, when EA Sports' Andrew Wilson took to the stage during Microsoft's Xbox One reveal, I tuned out. If memory serves, I used the opportunity to take a much needed trip to the bathroom because I was certain there would be nothing there to hold my interest.
I was wrong. Hopefully, it's not too late for us.
I have a confession to make: I'm terrible. Here in the Dtoid offices I have two jobs. One of those is driving wheelbarrows full of money down the aisles. The other is TF2sday posts. Sadly(!) we have waaaaaaay too many wheelba...

I'd like to pay Richard Hofmeier to talk to me about videogames. During last week's Sup Holmes (now on iTunes), he told me about so many great things, like the free online "game" Geoguessr, surrealist interactive text auteur...
