God dammit. I canceled my vita preorder cause I got this gut feeling that either a price drop will happen within 9-12 months or a badass bundle will come in that time frame. This, gravity daze and uncharted and escape plan make me want to reconsider. Must be strong.

I think you've really got to ask yourself whether waiting for a price drop is worth having to go without some entertainment that might bring you some joy and happiness...
IMHO, the Vita isn't going to drop in price for a while, Sony is losing a bit of money on every vita sold (contrary to what reports have stated).... so, if it does drop in price, I can't see it happening inside of six months of launch, and I can't see a price drop greater than $50....
Look at PSP go, for instance... That thing NEVER sold. It took a long time for it to drop in price, and here, years after its dismal launch, it's still $150 msrp...
To me, Vita is worth it.... then again, I play portables like crazy... if I didn't, I might wait, but again, I don't see a price drop in the near future... but I could be wrong.

I'm sure you have plenty of other entertainment in your other consoles and portables that you do own that you can get more longevity out of.

For what's it's worth, the sony rep said that there was no realistic way that sony could drop the price on the vita and make profit and that the retailers in japan took the hit for dropping the price, not sony. Again, she is paid to represent sony, so take it with a grain of salt.
So not a port, but still 95% the original game.....
Anyway, the challenges look pretty fun. Not sure it'll warrant a re-purchase, but nice to see more was added.

@JQM/Master: with my income I could easily afford this. But I'm not hurting for entertainment in the portable region. I'm way happy with my 3ds and its/the ds catalog. But I'm tired of being buttfucked by companies releasing unfinished shit or dropping prices and releasing bundles super quick. I'm not Sony is or isn't doing this with the vita, but last year made me sore, game publisher and console developer wise. I feel like I wasted a lot of money, which I wouldn't have if had patience. Personally I feel as a consumer, the time has come to vote with my dollar regardless of what I want. As it stands I believe the vita packs the punch for its price, but I also believe Sony fucked up with the memory and the 3g. I'm going to wait. Thank you both for your thoughful and non fanboy/flaming responses. Not that you two act that way normally to begin with.
You know what's funny? Had the 3DS gotten this game with those challenge minigames they would have called it gimmicky as hell. On Vita, it's cool and enough to warrant a re-purchase. I like 'em though.
Why is everyone saying drop the price of the Vita? 250 is a good price for a system that has so many features. The memory card this I agree with though.
i do want the vita but i'm not all that sold on mortal kombat for the vita. i really want that dam vita.
@best: I'm not saying drop it, it is well priced. I just don't see people having an interest in it at my work at all. I believe it will most likely have a drop or a good bundle within some months.

I'm going to sound like a gamestop monkey... but what swayed me was the extra 25 bucks you get for trading in a old hand held towards it. The 2000 model PSP trades in for $50 bucks at the moment, and when we turn around and sell them for $80 that's not a awful deal at the moment... just saying.
