As a known and trusted connoisseur of hip-hop, I feel compelled to tell you all about Memphis rapper (and fellow Destructoid reader) Adam WarRock. After gaining recognition recently for his 3-track EP inspired by the NBC series Parks and Recreation, he's back with a new 5-track EP all about Mass Effect.
Hit the jump for the rest of the album, and then GET HYPED because March 6th is only a month away!
To take a break from rapping about comic books and TV shows, I made a video game hip hop EP. In celebration of the release of the Mass Effect 3 demo (and while I was replaying Mass Effect 2) I decided to make a few songs about Mass Effect. For "Active Squad," I invited some friends along to rap about some of their favorite characters they like to always have in their squad. One in particular, Kabuto the Python, was known for his own Mass Effect EP, The N7 EP, best known for the hit Mass Effect song, "Those Minerals". It was a blast, and hope you enjoy this EP.
Please check out more of my music at http://adamwarrock.com. Check for my new full-length album dropping on February 13.

i dont understand this fad of making music based on video games or remixes of original sound tracks and tv shows etc. or even a music album based on a interview type talk show.
then again, i really dont care to much about music. dont follow bands or even remember track names. i just listen to stuff that doesnt annoy me. fans of anything make me laugh.
Not to be a "HATER" or anything, but this is..... unimpressive. Dude's flow is pretty basic, beats aren't that good, nevermind original, and the timing is just *too* convenient for a project like this. Now, MEGA RAN was a good video game-themed mixtape. Random had INSANE wordplay, used beats that sampled from the original game music instead of just using other people's beats, and wasn't done just because the next Megaman game was about to come out. (Mega Ran 9 is a different story, but at least that one was endorsed/requested by Capcom).
I get it, I really do, I'm excited for ME3 as much as y'all are. But this isn't satisfactory to me, as a CONNOISSEUR OF HIP-HOP.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
NEWS TO ME.
WHY ARE YOU SO TRUSTED?
ARE YOU A NOTABLE MEMBER OF THE HIP HOP COMMUNITY?
ARE YOU A PUBLISHED HIP HOP ARTIST.
TELL ME WHY I SHOULD VALUE YOUR OPINION ON THESE THINGS AS YOU ARE SO READY TO TELL ME WHY IT IS SO VALUABLE.
And yeah, digging these tracks. Especially Paragon | Renegade.

Sooooo... why did you post again?
"fans of anything make me laugh."
Wait...what? I'm not sure I understand. Is there something inherently wrong with being a fan? Being a fan of just means you enjoy things.

But that's just my opinion.
