One of the biggest motives behind the development of the DSi was surely to curtail the huge amount of piracy that has affected previous incarnations of the system, thanks to the rise of the R4 Cart. The R4 doesn't work with the DSi, while its enhanced features and firmware updates should have kept filthy pirates at bay. Apparently not.

The rape is about to commence with the arrival of Supercard's DSONEi, a brand new flashcart designed to turn the idea of firmware updates on its head. If you're using the DSONEi and Nintendo releases a firmware update to stop your illegitimate games from working, all you have to do is wait for Supercard to release its own firmware update, patching your DSONEi in order to get around the update Nintendo just released. That is sly. 

This will be great for all of those homebrew fans who never pirate anything and only like to add functionality to their systems. Yeah. Right. Those guys. All three of 'em.
