A mother in Indiana is currently kicking up a stink after discovering an alleged religious message in the kid-focused DS game Baby Pals. Bought for her 8-year-old daughter, the game speaks a phrase that sound a lot like "Islam is the light."
This mother was also one of the many who complained about the "Cuddle and Coo" doll, a child's toy that was also accused of spreading this exact same message. Urban legend dictates that an audio expert found that doll to be saying something more like "it's not near the light."
It appears that the exact same sound file is found within this game, meaning either the Indiana mother is cursed by Muslim ghosts, or that it's just a generic stock baby noise that is used in various toys and games, with a rather coincidental "message." Considering the fact that the Coo Doll and the Baby Pals clip sound exactly the same, I'm willing to be bet it's just from a sound library and doesn't really have anything to do with covert Islamic conversion of American youth.
You can hear what you want with these kinds of things, and it sounds like the mother is overreacting and making this more sinister than it is. Still, it's one for the conspiracy theorists to have fun with.

I totally agree with you. Some of my extended family members were just about lamenting the fall of American society when they saw one of those stupid dolls out in the public. To be honest, I blame a lot of this blind cultural insensitivity on the Bush administration. I truly believe the demonization of Islam following 9-11 and the subsequent meshing together of all Middle Eastern nations and cultures is directly the fault of our previous leaders. In other words, I think people support the war in Iraq as if we are fighting Islam itself.
