Now, I'm going to have to claim some level of ignorance here. I've never played a Driver game. So, I can't tell whether or not these screenshots for the just-announced 3DS iteration of the series are consistent with the rest of the run.

I do, however, know that I really dig the style in the art pieces shown here. I'm a sucker for things which feel like a cross between cinematic and graphic novel approaches. I also know that I'm grateful they didn't try and cram some hackneyed use of the term "3D" into the name of the game. Of course, the title "Driver 3D" is still tentative. There's still time for them to offend my eyes.
