You know what, now I know why I don't really do alot of artsy things. I don't have time for it, I'm hardly ever home! Haha! But hey, I did the best I could and I had fun and that's all that matters. :) I had to rush it today because there was no way I would get to work on it tomorrow or Tuesday. :P

So here's what Big Daddy would look like if he lost weight and was a bit smaller...

Lets start saying that I'm Italian, so my english is not as good as you could expect :(
Inside the Big Daddy that you see there is, in fact, a "Little Sister" :p Her name is Enza and she is my girlfriend who helped me making this costume (expecially for the legs and arms parts!) and accepted to wear it. I have chosen to make her wear the costume because she is shorter than me and all the proportions would have turned out correctly. We *LOVE* Bioshock and therefore we have decided to participate to the contest ^__^

I want to clarify that I used photoshop just for: balance the colors, add text and flair.

SOME DATA
Fun: A LOT!
Hours spent: ~30
Days: 5
Money: some :p
Aluminium foil: 60 m (OMG!). We used also A LOT of other materials, like for the legs and arms, or for the chest shield; it is NOT all made by aluminium foil, otherwise it would be broken all wearing it.
Colors: varnishes, acrylic, marker pencils (all this stuff used with various techniques)
Temperature inside the costume: near 45° hehe
Happy for: have created this thing, it was really fun and it scared my mother more then once ^^ I'm also happy with the impact of the final image
Unhappy for: in the final pic is impossible to see all the details we worked on, like the blood, the erosions made by water, the bolts (3 type of, modeled and colored one by one), the red bottle, and so on. Perhaps you'll want to see them lookin at the gallery (click over the picture up here)!
