Ubisoft unveil their Drawsome tablet for the Wii
Seemingly envious of the success THQ have had with their uDraw tablet peripheral, Ubisoft have unveiled their own tablet called the Drawsome. Ubisoft are hoping to have the tablet out for Christmas and it's just the type of thing I can see parents getting their kids as a present this year. The device itself has an 6.5x5 inch screen and is powered by placing a Wii-remote into a cavity on the left hand side. Also included is an SD card slot which Ubisoft say will allow users to share their creations. Bundled with the game are Drawsome Sketch Quest and Drawsome Artist, the latter featuring the Smurfs. Can't help but feel this is just Ubisoft grasping for some Christmas dollars here; with the Wii U on the horizon having it's own tablet controller, the Drawsome comes across as a chance to ape some of the uDraw's success. Come back to me when you can draw purple genitals for charity and we'll talk Drawsome. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I'm just curious, once the Wiiu comes out, will Ubisoft actually start publishing good games for it, or are they just going to use the WiiU as a shovelware dump to help finance their bigger, better games on the other systems like they did with the Wii. I can just imagine Ubisoft salivating at the thought of all the baby and horse simulators they can make with the Wiiu tablet. I mean, if those shovelware games made money, then I can see Ubisoft carrying on the same way they did with the Wii. If someone was smart enough to make a tablet like this for the Wii and also include some sort of PC support, i might consider it.
Otherwise, no. I can't see myself buying this at this point. Since Ubisoft has been getting experience making games on tablet controllers, they should be able to do some amazing things on wii u. I just hope they don't release a shit ton of crappy ports like they did on 3ds. When I first heard about the uDraw, I immediately thought it was a Ubisoft thing... with the u and all... But yeah, Drawsome is a pretty kick-arse name for a tablet. Kinda surprised they're not rushing these out for 360 and PS3 as well to compete with uDraw's "real" console versions. 2:00 PM on 06.02.2013 Review: Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold - Episode OneFester Mudd: Curse of the Gold completely passed me by when it launched in March. It was originally slated for release last year, and I'd been keeping an eye on it for a very good reason: It's a collaboration between Finnish ...

PowerA took the idea behind the system and has now gone pro with it with what they're calling the MOGA Pro Mobile Gaming System. We've put this brand new controller through its paces this week to bring you this launch day review.
2:00 AM on 04.18.2013 You're gonna ship yourself over Leviathan: WarshipsOkay Paradox, nice job with this trailer. It did its job, as made me pay attention and even write about Leviathan: Warships on Dtoid. Not that we haven't written about it before. In fact our own Fraser Brown went hands-on wi...
