Basically the only person who still plays with me is Chad. I love you, Chad.
A game with one mode of gameplay and no win scenario isn't going to last long.
Perhaps they can squeeze some extra life out by highlighting artists of skill or players using interesting approaches to communicating concepts?
They're chasing their tails trying to find the next big fad and make bank while they can, but the content they're providing isn't long lasting.
I just don't see this market as sustainable.
And considering that this is a social based game that is impossible to play alone, it can only go down. I'm beginning to lose interest as well since some of my friends stopped playing.
These games are $1 (at least the paid version, which I bought) - because they are generally shallow and have a limited playtime.
Did I get my 79p worth of fun? - Fuck yeah!
Would i recommend other people get it? - Sure!
Would I consider it a very clever, yet simple game - Of Course!
Did I get bored and stop playing completely after a week - YUP!
Would i rather have it than almost any Vita/3DS/PSP game? - FUCK NO!
"Portable" games cost more than "phone" games because they're better, deeper, and longer lasting. End of.
-Customizable blacklist for words
-Phrase mode (Things like "When in Rome", "More than one way to skin a cat", etc)
-Flipbook mode (animate words and phrases)
-Favourites to save yours/your friends drawings
-Unlockables: Stamps, fill patterns, brush types, color picker,
-Undo/Redo
There's heaps of shit they could do to improve the game. They're just trying to rest on their laurels, and it's backfiring hard. Good. Fuck Zynga.
That said, I love draw something, because I play with clever people who can make good drawing that are also clever clues and it's fun.
Get the word "Taxi?" Don't draw a yellow car, draw a blood-spattered Travis Bickle.
Get the word Sister? Don't draw a little girl, draw Dee Snider in full makeup.
Get the word Doctor? Don't draw a guy with a stethoscope, when you can choose from Doom, Robotnik, Fad, or Claw.
The game is threadbare, it's up to the players to make it fun.
The fact that you view being correct as an insult says something about you...
You might want to think about that
But who cares. I drew Elvis twice, so the first time I did Presley and the second time I did Costello.

It's only as boring as you are.
