Have you ever wondered what might be lurking inside the colorfully vibrant innards of an over-sized cartoon dragon? Well this new Rayman Origins trailer gives you a sneak peak at what you might encounter.

Rayman Origins, as the name suggests, goes back to it's 2D platforming roots but also takes a page from Mario's book by adding four player co-op. It really stands out among the crowd of recent platformers through the use of high quality sprites and stylized environments. I just love the expressions of joy on Rayman's face; you can tell that the artists on this game really enjoyed bringing that character to life.

Rayman Origins will hit store shelves November 15 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. But as great as this game looks, I wonder how much content the game will provide considering that this title was initially conceived as a downloadable.

"but also takes a page from Mario's book by adding four player co-op."

You mean that same page mario took from LBP's book?

@KenAkuma,
No, the page where a classic 2d platformer franchise goes back to its roots and adds co-op.
Besides, LBP was hardly the first 4 player platformer.

I think he was saying it took a page out of mario's book with the four player co-op, not by going back to it's roots. And if lbp wasn't the first, and neither was mario, why credit mario?
@KenAkuma
OHHHHHHHH
Was it influenced by lbp?

Quick question, not a mario kart fan, has it always had customization? Or was that added in 7?

You know what? Fuck it. I'm going to get the collector's edition. I love Rayman and I want Ubisoft to keep releasing great stuff like this.

Not sure, I haven't seen anything really on mk7 so I'm not sure what you mean by customization in that game, but I played the crap out of the DS version and I remember you being able to draw on your kart with the stylus or something similar.

Already have it pre-ordered, hoping its reaches the same level of competitive play that the original DS one did, that game reached EVO lol, imagine that, mario kart at EVO??!!!

Looks great, and im glad its getting a boxed release, im sick of all ppl who think 2D games are only worthy of been on DD like XBLA.
