DragonForce Track Pack coming for Legends of Rock photo

If you’re one of those two people on the Internet that can actually play “Through the Fire and Flames” on Expert get ready for stardom yet again. The next Track Pack for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will contain three DragonForce songs that are guaranteed to blow up your fingers and scare your mother. The songs included are “Revolution Deathsquad,” “Operation Ground and Pound,” and “Heroes of Our Time.” They’re being marketed as “the most challenging riffs to date” and I’m quite prone to believe that.

Being a guy that struggles on the Hard difficulty, I can only sit back and appreciate those that can play these lightning fast songs. DragonForce is the culmination of my Guitar Hero frustrations. The challenge and speed almost make me sick to my stomach. Regardless of my issues, The Track Pack is set to hit Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network store August 21.

This just might justify a 2nd DLC download. I love me some retro-gaming sound effect-infused epic metal.

I know Dragonforce sucks, but I love them. They just make me want to slay a dragon on an erupting volcano.

So it's the same song with three different titles?

Part of the reason you struggle with hard is that when it comes to making note charts, Neversoft pales in comparison to Harmonix and arbitrarily makes things more difficult than they need to be. It's true that Dragonforce songs would be challenging regardless, but they don't need to be quite so finger breaking.

It's hard to listen to an album that doesn't get released until August 26th.

I love Dragonforce to death. They're one of my favorite bands...period. Yes, there are other bands, but I love fast, epic, powerful, insane solos with keyboards, video game battle inspired lyrics, and drums that never seem to stop....

Oh wait...there's Dreamtheater....but Dragonforce does it more.

I do agree that alot of their songs do sound the same...but I don't care. They're awesome.

Actually meeting the guys was a trip. Sam Totam is a fun guy...and drunk. Freakin drunk and fun. :D Herman Li is pretty shy and admits that he sucks in Guitar Hero. So what, he can shred like a freakin God. Who needs the plastic controller.

As a huge Guitar Hero/Rock Band...and a HUGE Dragonforce fan...this is like a gift from Heaven...

Now, if Coheed and Cambria actually comes out with a track pack in Guitar Hero...or if Dragonforce FINALLY makes it over to Rock Band...I will be able to jam to ALL of my favorite bands...without hacking, moding, or customizing.

tldr, I love DF and Coheed and I want them in one game. Shut up. lol.
