Dragon's Lair coming to DSiWare! photo

Yep, that's right. Dirk the Daring is hitting the DSi in all his glorified-choose-your-own-adventure-book finery! Dragon's Lair has been rated by Germany of all places as a digital download for Nintendo's portable service, meaning that a new generation of gamers can tell an idiotic knight what to do.

Germany's USK rating system has listed the game, spilling the beans in very much the same way as America's ESRB tends to do. This marks the first time I've genuinely been hyped for a DSiWare game. Yes, I know, it's not really much of a game, but nor is most of the trash on that service, and at least this one has nostalgia value.

Dragon's Lair. Seriously.

I actually never played this game, although lately I've been thinking about getting it. Is it worth it?

Do the math for Dirk, but get it wrong or divide by zero and he'll meet with a terrible fate.

Man, this game has to have some kind of a record for the most ports ever. Seriously, how many systems has the game appeared on?

Oooh, something from DSiWare that's actually worth it?

I remember this being in an old arcade; when it got refurbished, they took this game's machine away. Never beat it; looking forward to it.

Bah, they need to bring back Cliffhanger, with the Lupin license and everything intact.

I don't envy whoever's tasked with making it look good with the handicap of the DS(i)'s video codecs.

@Kaibun
The day this happens is the day I eat my words and pony up for a DSi.

If it's a direct port of the original, then I'm all aboard!

I love Dragon's Lair!
