Looks great to me and the game is still pretty early. I can only hope their lines are more varied and less frequent in the final product.
Reminds me of "they're at the trench line" in Black Ops. If you've played the game, I'm sure you remember that hellish bit.
I don't get it. Is the dialogue random? He even yells take the offensive when the guy is stabbing the downed griffin. WTF?
I'm gonna guess that the sound AI was a really rough build. They'll probably fix it by the time the game comes out.
Damn, they do talk a lot. Get's annoying especially since it's the same thing over and over. Hope it's tweaked in that region, because it looks stunning otherwise.

The gameplay looks cool but I in action it's completely annoying to hear EVERY ally on the field issuing commands at once.
Maybe they can limit it to just the one you're controlling, or record a few different ways to say "TAKE THE OFFENSIVE!" and "FALL STILL!"

psshhh ... get a sense of humor. The voice acting is a little ridiculous, but it's bound to be a tiny speedbump on a huge game.
I love it, makes the game feel more real. Mute characters makes games feel boring and bland. The only exception is if it's only in Japanese. Then I cannot stand to hear the voices, especially female. I think Japanese women make the worst sound on the planet. Never in my life have I wanted to impale my ears with anything I can find that badly.

We get it Kotaku, you're not really all that into Dragon's Dogma. Be that as it may, you don't have to persistently post videos of the game with the banter below them needlessly poking at it.
Does nobody else get a slightly odd feeling watching the creature tortuously burn to death? I get the feeling this game is trying to appeal to those who lack empathy?
@jazzpanda: I was getting quite uncomfortable by the end of that. Even before they set it on fire I was like "Wow, this thing has NO chance. It hasn't even hit anyone!"

The gameplay looks very fun. I'm sure they'll iron out some of the AI speech before they release the game. This one is high on my radar.
@jazzpanda I felt pretty awful watching the griffon get murdered. It was pretty unsettling. I'm still interested in the game though
I mean, i know it's the same as any creature in a game, but big fights in this game feel like they're going the extra step in making it feel like these creatures are in serious pain before death.. Which would be a good thing and add gravitas and reflection on your actions if designed with maturity... BUT it feels like they may be just milking violence for fun and going 'cool, look at it on fire, yeeeah!!'

Yeah, uncomfortable is a pretty good description of this video, and I'm a big MH fan.
If they really wanted us to feel bad, they could stretch the fight out for 30 or 40 minutes while it bleeds all over the place, screeches in horrible agony, gets broken limbs and bones, has flesh being torn, and limps around.

Damn, this game is frustrating me. The gameplay looks fucking fantastic, but everything else I've seen so far seems like it will degrade the experience for me. The art direction is painfully bland. The characters seem super generic, and even worse, a bit irritating. The few bits of the story we've seen just seem silly. I really hope this comes together.
