Why can't they stop making Tenkaichi games and go back and re-make Budokai 3. That still is the best in the series. Covered every story minus the Dragon Ball series and was great in every aspect. Played that game for a very long time.
I don't get how people like games like SF and DoA with just a little bit of characters, when DBZ almost always has at LEAST double the roster. But I'm still waitng for DBZ: BT4.

Or heres another radical idea for Bandai-Namco that they can chew on for free: Actually work with Akira Toriyama to create a whole new story to play through in that huge DBZ time frame.
Given that everything, including time itself, is so ambiguous in that ultra long run, they can easily come up with SOMETHING off the wall to make us fight/work towards, that isn't shoved into the confines of the animated series.

I thought I wanted a game like Tenkaichi after playing ZoE, but Budokai 3 is by far the only good DBZ fighting game.
@brian green. what are you talking about? those are the original voices for the characters from the first broadcast. The only reason Goku might and couple of other characters might sound odd is because that is indeed the voice of the same person who voiced Goku as a kid back in '86; Masako Nozawa.
Back to the game. I would say that this is just a cash grab, but most Dragon Ball, especially the recent ones, are genuinely fun, and this one seems to do a really good job of capturing the cutcenes, so I'll definitely check it out.

Whoa, this game has excellent visuals! Not technically, I mean, but it really looks like you're takin g command of the show!
I have played a lot of Dragon Ball games and so far Burst Limit has been my favorite though this looks really good.
You could try to look at the games properlly instead of dismissing them~
For one this game focuses more on melee instead of flying away and charging blasts
Secondly for the first time the game will focus on the story and have epic cuscences

@VashTS You should play Dbz Burst Limit. It's the next gen version of Budokai. Just has less characters.
Can someone explain to me what the hell happened to the Dragon Ball Kai game for the DS? It looked amazing and it only got a Japanese release. That's what I want to hear about, and actual good DS fighting game, there's tons of DBZ fighting games on the main consoles.

Not to mention if this one follows the same cycle as the arcade release, GGPO will be the netcode. :) (Don't remember the name of the arcade version but it's online and uses GGPO.)

I love DBZ games but I wont admit that they have fell off since Raging Blast, Burst limit was iight but Im a big fan of Tenkaichi 3, Glad to see they are returning to that sorta style gameplay, Also Bandai learned something after working with Naruto

Budokai 3 was indeed the best one. Everything about this series is way too recycled. And who cares about number of characters when they're mostly versions of the Z fighters and they ALL play EXACTLY the same?

There have been numerous "original storyline" scenarios in the Tenkaichi games. Each of them.
That being said, it doesn't look like there have been any improvements made to the game. The maps don't look bigger (or even different), the fighting looks basically the same. The video just lacked a HUD to compare.

Maybe an rpg set in the DBZ world could be done? Cause I'm getting tired of these games. They are pretty but I have played them so many times I just don't care anymore.

There have been several RPGs, dating all the way back to the original Japanese-exclusive releases. The most recent localized one is Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans. Haven't played it, but its scores seem decent.

It's just cutscenes happen when you rush attack or attack with ki or physical attack the opponent. This game is well made and I love this. I hope they add SSJ Bardock or SSJ4 Vegito
