On the afternoon expansion "Awakening" became available, a Steam deal for Dragon Age: Origins became available. Until this Thursday, the price of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe Edition PC has been slashed by 33 percent, bringing them down to an agreeable $33.49 and $43.54 respectively.
If you plan on finally giving the game a go, now is the best time. Not only will you be able to get the game on the cheap, but also you won't have to experience the agonizing wait we've all had for "Awakening," an expansion that looked like a quality addition to the core game during our visit with BioWare at GDC 2010. Get an early look at it in the debut trailer above or check out some of our earlier coverage.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I read a lot of stuff about Fallout 3 crashing a lot on windows 7 64-bit quad-cores, and I rubbed my temples to imagine what score Jim was going to give FFXIII in the then-future, so I ended up wanting Dragon Age.
At the time, EA store was having a sale where you pre-order Dragon Age: Awakenings and get the original for $29.97. What really sold me was that on my birthday, they sent me a unique code for 25% off my purchase, so I got DA:O and Awakenings for $56 after tax.
The only thing is that the most recent patch 1.03 messed up pickpocketing ("Steal Success" but no items). I read on the Bioware forums that other people were crashing and losing items, but I've yet to see any of that.
I'v already bought it mind so fingers crossed it's a goodun.
Awakening that is
Dragon age is of course a great game but seriously dont miss out on Fallout 3!!!
I suppose I could just download the mp3s from the mod and put them on my 360 hard drive lol.
Now I want New Vegas!
Awakening it is.
Kinda frustrated that it feels like it's just throwing everything at me right away, although I have spent nearly 200 Gold in-game. Got a few complaints with the writing, but nothing too serious so far.
Well worth the money.
dragon age is friggin amazing though
So I obviously used them! Despite playing the game for a week and returning.
Means I've still got the dLC on ym PSN account, so i may just have to actually buy the game, probably pre-owned though, sorry Bioware.
I will by Awakening though!
