Something Dragon Age: Origins-related is going down soon.
One of the most recent tweets from the official Origins Twitter account is teasing that something “cool” is happening on the morrow: “If I was a fan of Dragon Age: Origins,” the tweet reads, “I’d be keeping my eye open for something cool coming tomorrow. Just saying.”
The tantalizing tweet comes from Bioware community manager Chris Priestly (according to Cinema Blend), a man who is probably in the know about any potential announcements, reveals, or whatever may come tomorrow. His knowledge is the exact opposite of ours right now -- we haven’t the slightest idea what this is about, but if it’s an announcement of another downloadable golem who hates birds then Bioware may as well pencil us in for a day-one purchase.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Seriously though, I do love me some DA.
If its another sidequest, I won't flip out. But I'll be very excited! (Aside from the fact that Sten's really bitching about not fighting the blight head on...)
I'm excited and may very well flip out!
Assuming you play on glorious PC gaming master race etc, etc., then just pirate the DLC like everyone else. As much as I love Bioware, having two major pieces of DLC at launch, and another one seemingly coming down the pipes very soon, I can't support that mentality.
I'm glad they support the game, and if they'd continue to release DLC every few weeks, I'd be the happiest guy on earth.
Shale comes for free with any purchase of the game, Wardens Keep was worth the money IMO. Branching storyline, multiple areas, a ton of dialogue, new skills and weapons/armor, storage chest(a Bioware also made a free storage chest for your camp mod on release day). I hate that most people try to imply they were charging you just for the storage chest.
Compare the value of that to an FPS map pack.
Poor example, some people sink hundreds of hours into FPS titles. I would argue that a multiplayer map pack *is* a "better value" than a quest chain that takes 3-4 hours to complete and can't be replayed.
Regardless, I won't buy the add-ons for DA since it's a single player game that I know I won't have time to replay to actually make use of downloadable quests/items/characters. I sunk 88 hours into Dragon Age. There's no way I'm going back to replay the game anytime soon...if ever.
That you personally choose to replay it more often gives it more value rather then what it actually costs to design?
I guess it's all opinion here, but I just don't agree with yours.
