Ready for some real hotness? Check out this ridiculously over-the-top launch trailer for Dragon Age: Origins, with cinematic action so good that the actually videogame itself won't even dream of living up to it. It's got a dragon in it, as well as a sexy sorceress that turns into a spider. What more do you need?
Origins is out next month and I seriously cannot wait. Having played quite a bit of the game already, I can confirm that it's an excellent RPG that may very well give Demon's Souls a run for its money as my RPG of the year. Good times ahead for roleplaying fans. Very good times indeed.

It's nice to see some Demon's Souls love on this site besides Conrad. But yea, Dragon Age looks like an amazing return to it's Baldur's Gate roots, with a hint of KOTOR. Can't wait!
Can't say I'm very excited for this game after seeing gameplay (on youtube), very turn based. Not that that's bad, but it looks like the type of turn based I don't dig.
However considering your thoughts I'll definitely check out this game when it comes out. No doubt the low level play will become fierce and powerful as the game progresses. The video I watched involved much pointing and clicking. I'm keen to see the console interface as I'll be playing on PS3.

Yeah. I would have considered this if I didn't end up choosing Demon's Souls. I'm happy with my pick though. But if I decide to splurge on another game, this might get the call.
This trailer just brought my interest back into this game. The bombardment of media for this game before somewhat diluted my desire for this game but it hasn't waned completely thanks to this little snippet.
Looks like Bioware did bad girls right in this game as opposed to that abomination in the ME2 trailer. Not that I don't dig tattoos and piercings. But that was way over the top.
Anyone else getting kind of sick of all these theatric trailers? I trust Bioware completely to make a great fantasy universe, but the fact I've seen more gameplay of ME2 than this, even though this game is just weeks away from launch, is kind of disappointing to me.
Sooo, the sorceress can transform into a giant spider and take down a dragon with a single spell? I found my character. And I'll have plenty of time to make her look good with the character creator that comes out weeks before the game.
Why do I have the feeling that the combat wont be half as fun as this trailer? I hate when that happens with RPGs, even if the end product is good, it always feels like a kick in the face.
While Im kinda expecting this game since I love RPGs like this one, the gameplay I've seen so far puts me on guard (cwutididthr?). Maybe this is one of those games that are way better played then watched.
@Arrested
Sorry I should have elaborated. He says completely false things like "I'm a Knight, so I can't get magic." You can get magic as a Knight in the first hour of the game (he's played it for "6" hours). He also says "you can't regenerate mana or health, ever, which is outdated". You can do that.
So basically he's really bad at games, and completely turning off people such as yourself from buying it because he can't be bothered to read the manual, and would rather just make jokes about it to make for a funny video.
Given that this is the first trailer to get me remotely excited for the game and it's prerendered I'm gonna go ahead and stay unexcited for this until I see a string of glowing reviews.
Everyone knows that dragon could've gone down much faster with some 3x Chain-Contingency lower resistances and then plenty of magic missiles. Baldur's Gate II anyone? ...C'mon! Trailer was ok, although some gameplay would be better.
Demon's Souls will probably go down as a "Love it or Hate it" game from what I am hearing. Dragon Age may if the marketing is accurate. Its been terrible.

I loved the wet blood noises at the end. Sort of gratuitous, but there ain't nothin' wrong with that.
It's not like I haven't heard of it. It's not like I don't want to play it. It's just something about this game that does not appeal to me.
Bioware always makes great games, and I love Bioware.
So what gives?
Yeah. I would have considered this if I didn't end up choosing Demon's Souls. I'm happy with my pick though. But if I decide to splurge on another game, this might get the call.
But... that dragon came down pretty fast. The game needs more player punishment.
You're right, I watched Giant Bombs quick look of Demon's Souls and I will not be touching it.
Also, fappity fap.
Also, yay for feisty redhead thieves.

That was a horrible video.
Watch Gametrailer's review instead; MUCH more accurate.

Either Bioware's marketing department has gone to shit or EA's influencing this.
Not sure what trailer you watched but this was pretty good. Though I'd rather see gameplay videos though compared to cinematics
