BioWare continues to show its crazy post-release support for Dragon Age: Origins this August, with a new downloadable add-on called "Golems of Amgarrak."

The DLC will let you import your Warden from the original Origins or Awakening, or create a new high-level character from any other class. "Golems" tells the story of the Dwarven exploration of a subterranean ruin which gave birth to an army of golems. Expect new characters, new creatures, new puzzles… you know the drill.

It's out on August 10, and will run you 400 MS/BioWare Points, or $5.

It says you can import your guy from awakening on other sites.

I reckon I will have to buy the remaining dragon age dlc when this comes out and have a dragon age marathon.

@TheOldHouse:

I've clarified, and you can import from Origins or Awakening. Updated the post to reflect that!

On a personal note, just started playing this on the PC and I'm really liking it. Originally had tried playing it on the 360, but wasn't really feeling it. Definitely better suited to the PC, at least in terms of combat and tactics, I think. It'll be interesting to see how they adapt it for the consoles for Dragon Age 2.

Shale and that whole bit of the game was my favorite part. Can't wait to see more. Golems in general are neat. Chain golems are super neat.

I'm caustiouly, awaiting Dragon Age 2. I really hope it's good. If it's no longer the PC RPG that the first was well, I guess I'll have The Witcher 2 to fill that void.

Hmmm... So will Bioware use the Mass Effect 2 trailer music for each of their trailers from now on? lol

"Twenty-man expeditions don't just disappear"
In the Deep Roads? They do...they tend to become piles of goo thanks to the Darkspawn hordes...

Still, this could be cool. The Golem-related storylines were some of my favorites so far.

I tend to wait for 3-4 dlcs, then download and start a new file on most of these games (Fallout, DA:O, ME, etc.) Dragon Age I've already played through with each class though and played awakenings, so I might be done with it. I've skipped Leliana and Darkspawn DLCs so far.... Speaking of Bioware though, release date for Shadow Broker DLC? Yes, please!

Looks pretty solid. I need to get this and Warden's Keep for my next playthrough. Whenever that will be.

@trueb7ue:

My wife heard me as I was watching it while writing this and she thought it was Batman. :D

If by "crazy" support you mean releasing a much needed balancing patch almost a year later, then yes. It's pretty obvious that BioWare puts releasing DLC ahead of fixing things.

@thegaze

Yes but it is similar to Baldur's gate, neverwinter nights. If you liked those then you'll definitely like it but get the PC version instead of console. It was made for the PC.

Dragon Age 2 is supposed to be directed at the consoles so who knows how the PC version of that will be. There's a lot of PC ports of console games that are just better on consoles.
