Double Fine on the development of Trenched
This is a fantastic new developer diary for Double Fine's upcoming downloadable title, Trenched. So often, the developers in these promotional videos are (presumably) speaking to an interviewer. Nothing wrong with that, but watching these three guys sit around a table, drinking beers and casually chatting feels so intimate in comparison. Just a bunch of dudes hanging out and talking about their game. Trenched looks promising. I get a real MechAssault vibe from the gameplay footage seen thus far and pairing that up with tower defense suits me just fine. I may have to find time to sneak in a play or two at E3 in a couple of weeks. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Out of all Double Fine games this is the only one that doesn't immediately speak to me, I'm actually more excited for their Sesame Street Kinect game. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt though, this could potentially be awesome. I didn't really get the DF feel from this game... That was, until in the end of the video when a soldier lighted a victory cigarr with his handgun.
This will be awesome. Its funny people aren't positive. I am more interested in this than any of their recent downloadable games. I played and loved Costume Quest and its DLC and I am intrigued by Stacking, though waiting for a price cut.
This one I might get day one. Hell yeah, this little gem looks so awesome. Definitely very different for a DF game, but it still has their own flavor thrown in for good measure, if the end of the video is anything to go off of. Looking forward to this. 4:30 PM on 05.14.2013 Humble Double Fine Bundle adds a bunch of prototype gamesA week ago, the Humble Double Fine Bundle was announced.
