DOOM miniature figures selling for loads on eBay photo

I never actually knew these existed, but now that I do, I want them! Unfortunately, anybody who wishes to own these metal DOOM miniatures will need to shell out a good few bucks. Most of them are currently on eBay for no less than a hundred bucks!

These miniatures were made by Reaper, way back in the distant past of 1996. Available in never-opened blister packs, you can get your hands on Zombie Marines, Pain Elementals and Cacodemons. You can also get an unopened Mancubus for ten dollars if you're feeling cheap.

This post has reminded me how expensive these things are. And here I was considering getting back into Games Workshop stuff.

Talk about rare but WOW, those are some really expensive. The starting bids for some of them start at $120.

I really would like these, but I can't fathom spending so much for a miniature.

It's expensive to be a videogame figure and toy collector if you don't get on this stuff when it comes out.

I'm looking into some of the original FFVII "Extra Knights" figures, and they're going around $30 - $50 a pop. I know that's not as much as these DOOM miniatures, but still pretty pricey for one plastic figure.

So Jim, you want to be a gamer and play Games Workshop stuff? Don't do it man! Your money just disappears instantly. But if you do, go Space Wolves.

I got a Mancubus figure when I preordered Doom 3. Score, I guess. Finally made the game worthwhile? :)

Gawd I use to buy crap from Games Workshop, eats away at money like a hooker addiction. Video gaming is way cheaper for me... I think.

I remember seeing these at the comic store I used to frequent. Wish I'd stocked up, instead of just buying a Magic: The Gathering Prodigal Sorcerer figure and never painting it.

Funnily enough, I got a Mancubus figure from Best Buy when I got Doom3. Their ad said Doom3 came with a CD of bonus content, but it ended up coming with the pewter Mancubus' instead.
I also notice, there are still zero bids on anything other than the $10 Mancubus currently. Perhaps that's a hint of how much they are actually in demand at those prices.
