It appears as if the two year long wait (ha!) for Doodle Jump for the Kinect is over, as it is launching this summer on the Xbox Live Arcade for $5 (400 MSP). Evidently, Smoking Gun Interactive will handle this version, as "three new worlds" are added, among achievements, and new content/gesture controls.

I remember the height of the Doodle Jump craze, when it was used in a ton of sitcoms, and helped legitimize mobile gaming so many moons ago. It's not the deepest experience ever, but it was fun for what it was -- on a Kinect and a giant screen, I'm not so sure it'll have the same success.

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing. more
