Fact: The English-language VA for Laharl in the original Disgaea is Barbara Goodson, who also voiced Rita Repulsa in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Boom! Suck on that knowledge!

Now that your minds have been properly blown, let me direct your attention to DISGAEArt!!! Disgaea Official Illustration Collection, an upcoming UDON book that compiles various pieces of box art, concept art, promotional art, and more from all four Disgaea games. UDON was gracious enough to send me a batch of preview pages, four of which are exclusive to Destructoid, so check 'em out in the gallery below.

All the featured artwork comes courtesy of Nippon Ichi illustrator Takehito Harada, whose penchant for childlike underworld characters (and penguins with bat wings) has given the Disgaea series its uniquely adorable yet freaky style. I especially like the page in which Harada jokingly associates the size of his female characters' chests with their viability in combat. That's the kind of tastefulness that fans adore!

The 192-page DISGAEArt!!! is aiming for a late July / early August release. (Yes, it will arrive on time! It's at the printers right now, waiting for the final word.
