Don't worry, Tiger Woods, EA still loves you photo

I don't follow the "big news" or the "hot gossip," but I do know that Tiger Woods had a little fender bender and everyone made a huge deal out of it. I hate the news media sometimes. Look at this piece of sh*t from the worst thing ever to happen to American media, TMZ. "This is the Hydrant that Tiger Woods Hit" reads the headline, and the article itself is a picture of a fu*cking hydrant.  "Exclusive," the image screams. Leave the guy alone.

At least things on the videogame side remain calm. EA's got no beef with the golf superstar. Their relationship remains "unchanged," they say.

Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged. We respect Tiger's privacy, we wish him a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course.

Good on you, EA.

Whereas Activision probably would have shot him by now.

Good for EA. Nice to see a company that respects people and not the money behind them.

If I'm not mistaken, the "huge deal" isn't that much about the actual car accident, but his affairs.

Tiger fucked up. He knows it. Back off the dude and let him sort out his life. Props to EA for taking that route.

Leave the guy alone? Dale, you can't be serious. The guy has a billion dollars BECAUSE he's in the limelight. When you're paid that much money, you better be able to take the good with the bad. Are you seriously feeling sorry for the guy because of all the attention he's getting about his accident? If so, that's a little nutty.

I don't feel sorry for any celebrities when it comes to the media. The celebrities get exactly the amount of attention they asked for.

Meh, honestly I would have loved to see his wife leave him and take him for all he's worth, and then just to make it worse, I would have liked to see EA, Nike, ect. drop his ass like a corpse into a shallow grave.

Ugh.

Is it just me or has the media been specifically more stupid than usual the last 3 weeks? Maybe it's me.

@runtheplacered
To be fair Tiger Woods has never been the type to tan himself with limelight. I think he should expected this attention when he became a bajillionaire but I wouldn't say he asked for it.

What's he gonna do? Say "No thanks I don't wanna be one of the richest men in the world. The news might talk about me," and walk away?

Maybe he should have thought twice about getting married with having so much money and fame. Maybe his wife was a cunt behind closed doors? Either way this will be a life changing event for the king of golf. It can be hard to turn down pussy. Poor bastard lol

That's why it's such a big deal. He's always been Mr. Humble and "the good guy". Recent events show he's just as much of a scumbag as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant or any other cheater.

Had he always been the jackass on tour like John Daly, it would be less of story.

I still don't understand why people care about anything that happens in any celebrity's personal life. There are so many astronomically more important issues in the world than whether or not some actress is dating some guy, or if some athlete was having an extramarital affair.

@ Xzyiac,

When you're endorsing Nike (with the biggest endorsement deal, ever), General Motors, American Express, General Mills, and god knows what else... how can you say he's not tanning in the limelight? I don't know of anyone that's getting a better tan then this guy.

A guy like that that's acting like he doesn't want attention is simply wanting his cake and he wants to eat it, too. He wants to be advertising (thus seen by as many people as possible.. that's what advertising is) yet he wants to not be seen? That just seems hypocritical.

He could have plenty of money from his winnings and maybe one endorsement. But when he chose to take on the biggest endorsement the world has ever seen, he gave up his ability to act like a reclusive. That's the way I look at it anyway. Like I said, if you want the billion dollars that goes with being his kind of celebrity, you better be sure you can take the bad with the good. If he couldn't handle that, I'm sure he could live just fine with the hundreds of millions of dollars he could have made otherwise.

Endorsements and the press digging through his personal life are two different things.

I'm not saying he should be blockaded by a wall of sympathy but I am saying the press isn't obligated to keep cameras in his face just because he's a rich athelete and he isn't neccesarily an attention whore either.

The fact is there is money to be made off of investigating this stuff! What is the media gonna do? Say they aren't gonna cover stuff like this, and then lose a huge story to, oh, I don't know, every other media outlet ever?!

The fact is I hate people who feel bad for stars who get coverage like this, cuz it's a two way street. The media is what made him, and if he makes mistakes, of course it's the medias job to follow it! Why does everyone think the worst about the media? It's really annoying!

Also, Tigers an a-hole anyway. He deserves anything that comes to him.

Am I the only one who feels sorry for Tiger, he did, after all, get assaulted by his wife with a GOLF CLUB. It shattered his car window, she was out for blood. Imagine if it were him attacking her with a club because she cheated.

I really don't understand the outburst against Tiger. So he hit a damn fire hydrant; he could have cheated on his wife or beat his wife up or anything actually bad.

Yeah he shouldn't get off scott free, but the man did nothing immoral. He just got into a car accident.

It's not because he had an auto accident. It's because he's been hitting everything with a vagina and his irony-loving wife went after him with a golf club.

I don't really keep up with celebrity's life or anything so maybe I don't know the whole story, but isn't the kind of stupid?
It's not as bad as reporting that someone gained 3 lbs or something, but it is still kinda stupid..he could've done something worse. But since he's a celebrity people have to show everyone every little thing he does to make him seem like a bad person and point out every little flaw in a person.

KingSigy...ur kidding right. God people do research first! he's been cheating on his wife and she came out of the house with a nine iron for his ass , he freaked and crashed his car, then they told the cops a completely diff story and finally the cops were like yeaaaaah.... what REALLY happen and tigers mistress was gonna come clean with pics and over 300 txt apparently so he screwed(literally ) the pooch. its not cuz of his auto accident its the fact that she was trying to beat his ass and the guy that so many swear is a great guy and flawless is just as human as everyone else...personally i dont give a shit, im a news student in college so i HAVE to hear bout this every 10 min, but athletes and rock stars shouldn't get married so soon....deep down they still wana play and they get booty like a toilet seat so why not??

Wow, I'm shocked that everyone in this thread, even the author, seems to think that EA is doing this out of the goodness of their heart. What a crock of BS, they are a company not a person! Tiger Woods PRINTS MONEY for EA, NIKE and several other companies! Of course these multi-billion dollar companies don't want public backlash for Tiger! EA compassionate?....C'mon SON!
