The new season of Doctor Who has started over in the UK, with Matt Smith taking on the role of the time-traveling hero. Today, the BBC announced that a series of four episodic games based on the show called Doctor Who Adventures will be released. Billed as additional episodes for the series, the narrative of the four games will tie in with the events of the show.
I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and it's nice to see the revival get some games of its own, as titles produced with the license thus far have been less than spectacular. I guess I'm hoping that they'll be getting the same bump in quality we saw when the series rebooted back in 2005.
The first of the four games will be released in June. All four Doctor Who Adventures games will be free when upon release. Hit the jump for a press release.
