Do NOT buy Steam's daily deal photo

Today's daily deal on Steam is a four-player shooter by the name of Revelations 2012. It seems cheap, reduced from $9.99 to a mere $4.99, but I've played it. I played it to review it, and the review is going up tomorrow. Until then, I can but warn you, urge you, plead with you to ignore it.

Even at free, this poorly made Left 4 Dead mod would be asking too much.

It disgusts me that tripe like this gets approved ahead of Mutant Mudds, seemingly just because it uses the Source Engine. That's the way of the world though. In any case, you really should keep away from it and get something else. Like, say, Zeno Clash or something.

Ubisoft is sending someone to Mt. Everest to play Far Cry 4

I want to play Far Cry 4 and, yeah, scaling a mountain like Everest would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip -- but playing Far Cry 4 *on* Mt. Everest? Not for me, sadly. That said, someone out there -- the one lucky person chosen...more

The Far Cry 4 devs went to Nepal and watched an animal sacrifice

It's not uncommon for developers to travel to far and distant lands to immerse themselves in the culture that they aim to represent in the videogames they're creating. What is uncommon (I imagine) is to watch a goat get sacr...more

Titanfall gets an in-game currency system, but microtransactions are out

Titanfall is getting a currency system in the form of the "Black Market," which allows you to buy and sell burn cards and insignia. The system is very simple -- if you don't like your burn cards and participate in normal...more
