This... isn't devil may cry. The series didn't need a reboot did it? I guess I don't really care too much about the story (who does with devil may cry) but hopefully the gameplay isn't ruined

I can't agree with Dante's new look but I can ignore that and just look forward to what will probably be some more mindless brawling fun.

This trailer is pretentious and the art direction is terrible. There's not a whole lot of hope here if you're looking to dissuade people from talking smack about the game.

i have high hopes for this, i think the trailer was really good. i enjoyed heavenly sword, and with enslaved looking as awesome as it does, i feel ninja theory can make a great game here as well.
Is this a what if game? ... Like what if Justin Bieber was the spawn of Demons ....oh wait! WTF this is his next form of evil ! Now he's gonna listen to the cure and mope and bitch all day eating hotpockets because he's got a 360 slim and can't play halo reach co op.
Not a huge fan of the new look, better than the Cole they first rolled out for Infamous 2 but not my favorite, but the trailer seems to have the same feel as DMC so I can wait until passing judgment on a knee jerk reaction
If Cole got back to his original look, Dante needs his white hair back. Why change that in the first place? Thats like one of the main pars of dmc was the hair made him stand out a bit. With this he just blends in more with other game characters
Anyway besides that I like the game and will buy it regardless. So really dunno why I'm bitching probably just because I can I guess
I agree with ChainThrow, too--not sure why you think Ninja Theory is a developer we can trust...they've only released one game in recent memory and it wasn't all that good.
I'm sorry, but that isn't Dante. If the hair was the way it's supposed to be, then yes, I would say it looks more like Dante. It's pretty much the Cole MacGrath instance all over again.
I'm just not seeing it... This could have been a different name under a different franchise and I could be able to see it being a good game. Hell this series went to shit after the 1st game anyways IMO.

I usually don't whine about cosmetic changes to game series (I loved the PoP reboot and didn't mind the "new" Cole before they changed him back), but this is really stupid.

Jim, you really don't get it. This guy looks nothing like Dante, he isn't Dante, I refuse to call him Dante. Capcom can reboot the franchise if they want but don't call this ugly emo rat Dante because he is nothing close.

The reason this game doesn't work is simple THAT is not Dante. Dante has a personality, a style and a combat he IS already a character changing him completely and then claiming he's that guy doesn't work. Now my issue with the last game was Nero not fond of him, always preferred Dante and even now...this is not a game I'm looking forward to.

Another thing just cause a character has black hair doesnt make him emo. This dante is way more punk looking than a fucking emo kid. But then videogame nerds will always stereotype someone by how he looks.
