DJ Hero Daft Punk screens are looking incredible photo

We reported last week that Daft Punk would be contributing a slew of exclusive mixes to the upcoming DJ Hero, and as I expected, quite a few people in the comments were swayed towards shelling out the money for the game once they saw the news (me included). As if you needed further convincing, Activision released a few screenshots of Daft Punk in-game ... and oh boy. Oh boy.

The game and controller set will be out this October 27th, and already can be preordered through retailers such as Amazon for the not-so-low price of $118.99. I wasn't convinced I needed it before the inclusion of Daft Punk, but I am now. You gonna order it?

The inclusion of Daft Punk might force my hand into buying this game. I love some Daft Punk.

I don't want this game.

I do want more Daft Punk.

Irritating conundrum. Or however you spell it.

I bought beat mania with the controller for $20 and it was damn neat. I might wait for a used one to pop up or something as $120 (USD) is steep indeed like $140 Canadian....$80 would have warranted a purchase for me.

Not going to lie. JUST because Daft Punk is in it, I'm curious about it. We'll see.

How much was the very first Guitar Hero when it released? Am I the only one who thinks $120 for this game and it's peripheral is pretty damn fair?

Pricey? Maybe. I mean all things considered $120 is like two games. In this case a game and a peripheral.

As much as Daft Punk can tickle me, those screens looked incredibly lifeless.

I love Daft Punk, but I just don't need ANOTHER bulky instrument crowding me out of my house. Multiple systems, multiple pads, fightsticks, a studios worth of plastic instruments and mic stands, I can barely walk in here! Where am I going to find room for a deck and table?

I've seen them live.
I own ::all:: of their albums.
I own ::all:: of their DVDs.
I own or have downloaded just about every remix or side project the two have been involved with.

But I'm torn over this: on one hand, I support Activision, a company I fucking loathe. On the other hand, I wholeheartedly support Daft Punk.

A conundrum, to be sure.

@Gene Eric
As much as nearly all your comments are bashing Neversoft and Guitar Hero, here, I've got to admit, you're probably right.
The Guitar Hero series has declined since II, and I'm really damn unsure as to how well these songs will be charted etc. Then again, Harmonix probably wouldn't develop DJ Hero anyway, because they aren't trying to bleed the franchise dry.

And here's Gene Eric gobbling that Harmonix cock again in an article that has nothing to do with Harmonix....again. Give it up, no one cares that you jizz over Harmonix and hate Activision.
