DJ David Guetta confirms work on DJ Hero 2 photo

42-year-old DJ David Guetta loves him some DJ Hero. His music has appeared as part of downloadable content for Activision's recent title, and it won't end there. Guetta claims he'll be working on the sequel, which he calls "the number two version."

Really he does.

"I think it's amazing, this game, and I'm going to work on the No. 2 version," he tells Kelowna.

He says that playing the game actually gives you "the rush that a DJ gets after 10 years of practicing." He says he personally enjoys playing the game, but "can't go to the maximum level," saying it's too difficult and adding that "it's crazy."

Confession: I have no idea who David Guetta is. Every time I read his name, I think of American Idol runner-up David Archuleta. Because they're like, almost the same guy, right?

He's the one to beat; All of a sudden, DJ David Guetta is everywhere [Kelowna]

I'll buy DJ Hero someday. At least when someone releases a turntable stand I can buy without dropping 200 on the Renegade edition.

Maybe he meant "No. 2" version as in the "shit" version. It's bound to happen sometime!

And you've most definitely heard at least one David Guetta song... "Whaaat are we supposed to do, a-a-after a-all that we've been through. WHEEEENNE-EVERY thing that felt so right is wrong... NOW THAT THE LOOOOVE IIISS GOOONE!"

This is more the type of DJs I'm used to here in Europe, unlike the HipHop DJs in America.

I don't mind Guetta and his crazy pop-house tunes. Not my favourite Euro-DJ though... I do wonder why this was in a small BC newspaper.

Sweet, another DJ Hero. Hopefully Activision doesn't whore this franchise out, too.

As someone who is a fan of electronic music and rhythm games I finally sat down and played DJ Hero. After fussing with controls and figuring what everything meant I finally went through 3 different songs on easy.

I didn't like it. It wasn't a matter of slow pacing or of stupid fingers.

It just plain lacked the intuitive fun of rhythm games like GH or RB.

To allow me this much control in a game and do so little with it, even at the hardest settings it's still just a set of movements through things that barely scratch the surface on this genre. Had it been just Mashup Hero or DJ Battle Hero I would felt it more suited to what it is but to call it this and have it be so woefully lackluster just makes my heart heavy for a music game that would take electronic music seriously and go just a tad deeper than some 9 year old Daft Punk and Gwen Stefani.

Again setlist would make for some fun times as a mashup playlist, but the title of the game compared to the actual execution and content, it's just not for me. And seeing what's of the Scratch game I question if my audience will ever properly be served.

I'm not holding my breath.

I would argue that playing on easy was ill advised, if we were arguing.

I really enjoy this game. It taps into the perceptions and thrill I had as a novice radio DJ watching the turntable guys do their shows. Medium, all told, is very do-able, even for the "intense" tracks, and hard is pretty ridiculous of a jump, but definitely practice-able.

However, as hopes go, I can agree there's a LARGE world of electronica and music creation that I'd love to see them get into with subsequent titles.

Realistically, I'm expecting them to sell me another turntable. At best, we'll get an updated/more complex mixboard, which I wouldn't be too mad at, aside from paying for it.

I have to agree with Tubatic here about the difficulties. Normally, I am no all around "expert" player in music games (usually vocals only...), but this game on easy is REALLY easy. I think that is there to get you used to the hand movements you have to do with things like Euphoria and the Crossfader. Once you bump it up to medium it gets more streamlined, but this game shines on the higher difficulties.

I have moved up to doing the songs on medium (on the sounds I do not really like) and higher (on the songs I do like) depending on the song and what I want to do at the time. Easy is just too slow once you get the hang of this title. When you play this game on Hard or Expert, you get a better sense of "DJing", so to speak, as you are constantly working the controller at those difficulties.

I would say try it again, but pop that difficulty up to hard for a real taste at how in-depth this game can get. Also, a user over at Gamertag Radio put together the OST for this game (all but two mixes I think) in their forums and there are some amazing mixes to be had. My personal favorite at the moment is "My Name Is Loser", which is a mash up of Eminem and Beck and it just smokes.

I was blessed to have found this at Gamestop Used (which they sell for $60(!) - if you can find one, that is the game AND controller), and I do not regret it one bit. My "USED" deck was played ONCE by a guy who returned it so he could buy the Hardened Edition of MW2. Their loss IMO, but my pure luck to find. If anyone finds it on the shelf for $80 and below, it is really worth the money.

Most of this growth is replica watches attributable to the iPhone. To fix these replica omega problems, AT&T has been upgrading its network with faster radio technology and replica watches more backhaul replica watches capacity. Some consumers say they've replica watches already noticed a difference in the quality of AT&T's network. The big question is whether Verizon customers will experience the same problems. Given that other carriers omega replica offering the iPhone omega replica in other countries, such as the U.K., have also had issues, there's a chance that Verizon's network might also be overwhelmed. Verizon says its network is prepared to handle a flood of traffic from the iPhone replica omega or any other replica omega data-hungry smartphone. Like its competitors it has replica omega been adding capacity to its backhaul network, which transmits traffic from the cell tower to the wired network. In general, Verizon has a wider 3G replica omega footprint.

I'm currently lol'ing at the fact that the majority of the comments is "wtf 10/10 thats impossible especially from Nintendo bs"

Even in the new "5 for average" scale, I can't see giving this game less than an 8.5(I personally would give it a 9.5, as it is the funnest game I have played in a while). At this point people are inspecting the littlest details to point out as a flaw so it could get a 9.5/10 or whatever just so it isn't a 10. Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. It's just a score given by a reviewer who is human. This human has a opinion, like many of us do. This opinions fluctuates depending on what the topic is.

To me, Dale simply gave it a 10/10 because it was a fun game to play, especially to him. It reminded him of earlier enjoyments from when he was playing what he considered the best Mario game and reminded him of the reasons why that game was considered the best. Recognizing that these reasons were fully present in the new game, SMG2 was just as good if not better than SMW. Or at least, that is just what I'm getting at.

Nonetheless, I need to go pick this up soon and hook my PC up to a new TV since the old one broke (manufacturer's fault). I really enjoyed SMG and hope to get more difficulty from this game - hopefully not as hard as Luigi's 100 Purple coins. I hated that.

Also, as a closing comment to all the 360 and PS3 fans who are complaining about this 10/10 score, u mad. (im not saying all of you, just those guys who find it incomprehensible that a system like the Wii could hold such an awesome game).
