Discountoid: Atlus gets pimped out! photo

I'd like to thank Amazon for giving me the opportunity (read: excuse) to post that image.

That's not the only reason to praise the online retailer this week, however. They've slashed prices on over a dozen titles published by Atlus. There's some quality stuff in their list going for as little as fifty percent of retail.

Meanwhile, Best Buy is dropping a lot of Gift Card offers on both older and newer games. The already reasonably-priced Ninja Gaiden II will score you an additional $15 in store credit, along with a slew of other titles bearing a similar offer.

And, with City Folk right around the corner, Gamestop is offering previous Animal Crossing games at rather good prices. I, personally, have little interest in buying the third title in the series, but I can heartily recommend the original GameCube game at a $10 price point.

Follow the jump for more of this week's deals.

I should note that Circuit City's ad is, as of the time of publication, unavailable online and could not be verified. I'll keep checking with them and update this post with any deals once I have the opportunity to check them out.

Is Castlevania Judgement even out this week? Also, Izuna has some of the most interesting official artwork since Darkstalkers 3.

Operation Darkness for $20 is a pretty decent price for a game that's above average with a horrible camera.

SRPG fans with a 360 but without a PS3 for Valkyria Chronicles should pick it up.

Conrad, Circuit City is pretty much going into shutdown mode. I don't think they'll be having an ad this week or for quite some time.
Conrad Zimmerman's Avatar
Conrad Zimmerman at 11/16/2008 19:22
@NihonTiger90: They're keeping over 500 stores open and filed Chapter 11 to allow them to restructure. Circuit City is hurting, badly, but they aren't going anywhere just yet.

And there is an ad this week. They just happened to be doing website maintenance when I went to check it this morning.

Also didn't a bank recently give Circuit City a butload of cash as a "second chance" to keep their business running? Could of sworn I heard that a few days ago.

You should include Newegg.com on this list. It's a great company, with great service. I've bought Fable II, Fallout 3, and Gears of War 2 for $4-7 off the MSRP AND free shipping, and those prices are still up.

you can lol all you want, but maybe if you had played Izuna you would see that its not anything like a standard rpg, it's a cheap dungeon crawler in the vain of diablo but shittier. Standard rpg would be turn based random battles over and over again.

"Sid Meier Civilization: Revolution [360/PC/PS3] - $15 Gift Card with purchase" from the bestbuy list, Sid Meier Civilization: Revolution is not on the PC.

urgh Dokapon Kingdom is for $19 too bad I don't have any money for it because of persona 4 maybe I will wait and get it later like I'm with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Dammit, I just payed $40 for Dokapon Kingdom like a week ago.

But yeah. All RPG fans who own a 360 should get Operation Darkness. Awesome SRPG once you learn how to use the camera(It's NOT a bad camera, it's a different camera! A standard camera would have made the game unplayable!)

Yggdra Union, Baroque, and Dokapon Kingdom I want to see bought en masse as well.
