The official Japanese Web site for Disaster: Day of Crisis has just updated with plenty of game play and control examples for this upcoming Wii title.

As you would have guessed from a Wii game, Disaster has you holding the Wii Remote like a gun, holding it pointed to the screen to aim and pulling the "b" trigger to fire.

When you're not shooting terrorists, you're saving everyone you come across from a massive earthquake. A flick of your Wii Remote reaches out to a boy hanging off a ledge. The rhythmic shaking of your Remote saves a victim in need of CPR. You get the idea, right? Disaster also packs in tilt-controlled driving as well.

It doesn't sound as exciting on paper, but once you see the videos of game play, you might come around. We're looking forward to getting our hands on this. What about you?

I feel like I'll be yelling at this game. Alot.

Terrorists? WTF? Shit, I was hoping it'd be a pure survival game. And since it seems like all the "survival" parts are just minigame cutscenes, I think I've lost all interest =<.

@Wedge

I Am Alive may be the upcoming game you're looking for.

Looks like a lot of motion controlled minigames. Fits in well with the rest of the Wii title I guess.

Nice, looks vaguely like a playable version of Alone in the Dark.

Yeah I am interested but I am skeptical.

The shooty parts remind me of Time Crisis. The rest looks interesting enough.

I shat bricks when you were running/driving away from a tidal wave. This guy is a total badass.

Looks like a C+ at best, but I've had a blast playing terrible games, so even a game like this that looks at most like a rough around the edges japanese title that's trying to keep up with the times, I see me and my friends playing this and having a ball.

So basically this is a game about quick time waggle events with graphics that make me wish for the good old fog of the 64 (Seriously the Wii does have more than 64kb of ram available for textures). I mean really what I just saw makes me wish the game had never left the E3 teaser stage.
I'm glad I traded my Wii in for a 360.

I'm holding judgment until I play it. Looks like Time Crisis mixed with Alone in the Dark 4... it could be good.

You know, I haven't played a third person perspective game with terrorists before.

That, and I'd shit golden eggs to run away from tidal waves.

Quick Time Events though? A little iffy.
