The deputy head of a Nagoya technical college has been arrested for allegedly using a PSP and its camera peripheral to look up the skirt of a 19-year old woman. The dirty 59-year old administrator supposedly performed the wicked deed on the Nagoya Kintetsu train line. The alleged incident happened on the 27th, and the man has since been arrested under Japan's anti-stalking laws. Just in case you were wondering, the above image is indeed an official reconstruction of the event -- something that may be useful to any of you wishing to emulate this most sleazy crime. Anyway, I think we've now worked out why the PSP is selling so well in Japan.

Pah, the Gameboy camera was far better for this kind of thing, had alot more reach.
One of the things about that camera was meant to be that, if you take a photo, it makes the camera "shutter" sound. Even if you have headphones plugged in. I don't know if it shipped like that but it's not like Sony didn't think of the problems associated with this kind of peripheral before sale!
And I thought administrators had enough money to buy prostitutes.
Anyways, gotta go and try that myself.
With all the japanese upskirts on the internet, I figured it was an obligatory rite of passage in Japan.
@Reaprar its true you can really get right in and up there with the GBC unlike PSPs version its like trying to get a sidewards stick through a hole in a fence.
Why are Japanese men so perverted, all this crap only happens over there, or seems to be the case...
:S
this shit happens everywhere, not just japan.
@Yuphrum
You're so naive it's adorable.
DS has a simulator, PSP lets you do the real thing
Quick! Get these Japanese perverts more anime chick fondling games, STAT!
I can't wait to try this.
There has never been a better time to be a pervert.... except 10,000 years ago where people never wore clothes...
I really could use a time machine.
Japan has laws against this? I'm with Professor Pew, I figured this was a national pastime.
Arrested?!..He could go to jail for one upskirt shot...someone needs to get that man an internets.
pics or it didn't happen
Was she hot? I've read the article several times and I see no mention of the hotness of said victim. That would change my whole view on this story if I knew that.
@Yuphrum: Search "upskirt" on Google. You'll QUICKLY be proven wrong.
Though, it probably does happen a lot in Japan, seeing as people are basically forced to suppress sexual and romantic behavior to be appropriate in their society. That's why disturbing porn comics are so popular there. They need an outlet.
Only in Japan?
Pick up a copy of the Daily Sport next time you're at a newsagents (or your comparitive tabloid junk), there's a world of z-list cellebs only too happy to flash the beaver.
Also with Pew. I thought doing something perverted to an unsuspecting woman in public was like the Japanese bar mitzvah. "You gropped a woman on a subway on your way home Yoshi? Today you are a man."
Why is this such a problem in Japan? Don't they have copious amounts of pornography around every corner?
I love the fact that someone took the time to create a diagram of how it was done.
The people have a right to know.
El Oh El Indeed!
Um. Awesome? Yes. Awesome!
I recall hearing that the loud "snap!" sound that camera phones now make to emulate the sound of an actual camera being used is because of Japanese men using them to take upskirt pictures of schoolgirls and business women on busy trains.
why arrest a guy for something that every single male in the country does?
Im pretty sure the snap noise on modern cell phones and cameras can be turned of 99% of the time. The noise is supposed to be cute, not prevent perverts from snapping upskirt.
Wear bloomers. Problem solved.
@gold5
Japan passed a law requiring all camera capable devices MUST make a shutter clicking sound when taking a picture for this reason.
They also had a problem with people coming in and taking pictures of pages of mangas on bookstore shelves and this has curtailed that as well.
