Dirty Max Payne 3 pushed to second half of 2010 photo

Poor Max Payne.

His latest videogame romp, cleverly titled Max Payne 3, was originally scheduled to be in stores well... now. But after a severe lack of any real info, it was unsurprisingly shuffled to an early 2010 release. Hope you hadn't planned anything around that, because that's not happening now, either.

The Rockstar Vancouver developed title is now scheduled for release during the "fourth quarter of fiscal 2010." This is according to Take-Two's recent financial report, and puts the game's release anywhere between August and October of 2010.

Maybe they're spending some time, literally, cleaning him up. Dude's shirt is filthy, and he sure could use a shave.

I dunno, how long does Miracle-Gro take to grow his hair back?

Seriously, he needs that hair back. He just isn't the same now.

I loved the first two Max Payne games (the movie, not so much). What I've seen of Max Payne 3 makes NO sense. He's bald, he's fat, he's in a third world country. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Where is this going? Christ...I'll probably buy the f++king game just to find out.

@ Ethelred

The worst part? They won't even be using the original voice of Max Payne. James McCaffrey's vocal talents, along with Sam Lake's fantastically fun and original writing, made the series. This title has neither of those. All it does have is a 3 behind one of my most beloved series of all time, and that's just sad.

I'm still having an incredibly difficult time believing that's Max Payne.

This game is going to bomb. I thought the end of Max Payne 2 was a nice enough conclusion.

Delay it as long as required to make it a lot better than it looks to be right now.

Good. Now that they've announced Red Dead Redemption's date, they can move MP3 around as long as it still makes 2010. I want it to be as awesome as I'm hoping- at least as good as 1 and 2.

The kid in me is intrigued and hopeful. The other 98% of me isn't going to get his fucking hopes up.

This dude just makes me sick. I want to play Max Payne 3 but i think i will wait for the mod or something, that WILL REPLACE THE MODEL AND SKIN to the proper one.
Seriously, Rockstar! I Hope I'll spend this extra-time to change the look of the character. it is ridiculous!

While I don't think I'll miss the goofy writing, I'm really on the fence about the new look. MP2 was a bit much at times. An escort mission for a guy in a mascot suit... whaaaaaat?? As bad as it got though, Max was still a hard boiled detective blasting the fuck out of bad guys. The new look though, I dunno. Its going to take some amazing writing to pull it off. By all means, take more time.

Honestly this might be the best thing to happen to the game. The first half of next year is absolutely flooded with highly anticipated games and Max Payne would probably be overlooked.

Other companies should look to push things back in order to spread the love out or their going to start crying poverty when their game doesnt sell like they hoped because there was 2-5 other games people were waiting for coming out the same week, or in the same 2-3 weeks..

Sales next year are going to be sloppy because of the stupid clump of first quarter release dates we have and more people are going to lose their jobs, and for no reason, if something doesn't change soon.. Man the industry needs a kick in the ass..
