DiRT 2 screens remind us that yep, the game does still exist photo

Look, I don't mean to call Codemasters out, or say that DiRT 2 isn't attractive visually, but when it comes to these latest screenshots for the off-road racer, there appears to be more than meets the eye.

No, I'm not talking about Transformers, unfortunately; I mean the images look modified (I've seen a few 'shops in my day), and not indicative of the actual game. Which, let's face it, isn't anything new for the videogame industry.

Or maybe, just maybe, DiRT 2 looks so good that it'll have you thinking there's visual trickery afoot. In either case, the purpose of these images is to remind us of the game's existence, more than anything else. Job well done, guys.

As long as the game has Vikki Blows in it like the trailer.... DAY ONE PURCHASE

Hi-Rez renders I'd say. Could be a PC version with one of the new graphics cards. PS3 could get close to that but of that exact quality at 30fps or higher no.

*tilts head* What worries me more than the possibility of it being photoshopped is how... uneuropean the game is looking... whatever happened to the humble and at least remotely realistic rally stages of Dirt and all previous Colin McRae games?

So much for the promise that Dirt 2 was going to be a massive Colin tribute.

I saw a video for DiRT 2 that had some grating American Xtreme rally driver or some shit and clips of him jumping over bikes and stuff. It was at that point I lost all interest, that isn't what I played the Colin McRae games for.

That water/dirt is too real to be in-game. Maybe DX11 effects on PC? (it is possible with compute shader) Codemasters is one of the first developers to announce DX11 support for future games, who knows...

I've played Killzone 2 and still to this very day I still can't figure out if the 2005 E3 trailer was a fake or not.
