My dad gets NFL Sunday Ticket every year. I don't know how much he's paid for it in the past, but (I think)this year it's supposed to be free for DTV subscribers. He flips through the games frequently, but considering the fact that he still gets it, I guess he thinks he's getting his money's worth.
I am a football fan, but $340 bucks?! Who came up with that figure? Not even for commercial free back to back games and 24/7 coverage (were that even possible) would I pay that. Thats rigoddamndiculous!

I'm not a football fan, I generally see it as a bunch of burly men in leotards that pull balls from one anothers crotches, then they all try to dry-rape each other and when they're all done with that they shower together. But this just goes to show why the PS3 is the best system ever and 360 is poop!
While I would love to catch every Patriots game (It's hard since I live in SC) I don't see paying $340 a year to do so to be a viable option.

Hang on, is this $50 plus the $340 package, or just $50 total. If it's the latter, that's an amazing deal.
340 if you can go back and watch the games on demand seems okay, but if you can only watch live, that's not so good imo.
If a friend of mine didn't already have Direct TV and NFL Sunday Ticket,I'd seriously consider this.
I like the idea that you can get it on PS3 without being a full Direct TV subscriber.
What I'd really like to see is a lower priced version where you can pick one team,and see all their games.

If you have DIRECTV, you can actually get this for an additional $50 on the PS3 if I'm understanding it right. Based on what you're saying, this is a cheaper alternative.

I get this every year through DirecTV. For me the 340 bucks is totally worth it to be able to watch my favorite team play every week. It's also nice because it has other little features to sweeten the deal.
Besides being able to watch every game every Sunday you are also given a channel where you can display up to 8 games at a time, yes you can literally watch 8 games all at the same time. Amazing.
It also has a nice feature for all of us Fantasy Football players, we can input up to two fantasy teams and then have their stats displayed at the bottom of the screen every time they make a play.
It's nice to see that those without DirecTV will be able to experience the amazingness that is the NFL Sunday Ticket.

It looks to me like if you already have directv and already subscribe to Sunday ticket it's free. If you don't it is the regular price. I don't know where this $50 came from. My email from directv about it partnering with psn says nothing about it. It just says the regular prices. No deal here it looks like.

If you live out of the area and can't see the local or non-national games it's kinda acceptable. Still really expensive.
Also live streams like on firstrow get the job done but maaan dealing with shitty quality and connections wears you out week-to-week.

I live in an apartment without DirecTV access (I face the wrong direction), and live on the other side of the country from my hometown.
So yes, I am willing to pay $340 to watch my team from the comfort of my own couch every Sunday. I love Sony and DirecTV for making this happen, because really, not having DirecTV was my only complaint about my current apartment, and I only wanted DirecTV for NFL Sunday Ticket.
