In this age of everyone being able to upload any video at any time, there's a commentary or reaction track or video to everything in life. Tub Girl, Gwen Steffani songs, capturing of terrorist leaders -- you name it, and there's someone talking over it.
I like commentary when it's coming from someone involved, and not just a kid on YouTube. Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya thought he'd do his own commentary for Bayonetta, just like the kiddies on the internet do. On the Platinum Games blog Kamiya will be playing through the entire game, adding his commentary to everything that comes up. There's two videos up now, but he's in it to win it, and will go through the entire game eventually.
I watched part two this morning (above, in Japanese with English subtitles) and enjoyed hearing Kamiya's insights on this game.
Dale North is Destructoid's Editor-In-Chief, a founding editor, and specialist in Japanese gaming. An accomplished musician, Dale was reporting from Japan during the earthquakes of 2011. sorry I'm a real prick when I'm drunk
Now do a Resident Evil 2 one, i plan on playing through my old PSOne copy again soon, it would be fun to hear his thoughts on that one.
I'd love to see a RE series commentary too!
Anyway, back to watching.
I'll just have to see what he says about the references to Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, Okami, Resident Evil, and Outrun.
I'm looking forward to more of these. I played this game for at least 100 hours but I'm still reading about it and playing it.
