Dino Run SE defies extinction on Mac, PC, and Linux
You remember Dino Run, don't you? Admittedly, we talked about the game years back, so it's understandable if you do not. Pixeljam Games has come out with a new version -- Dino Run SE, to be precise -- and it's quite good, as one would expect. While you're still trying to outrun the ol' impending wall of doom using your dinosaur of choice, or possibly racing alongside other players, there are some notable expanded features. For starters, this is a full download for Windows/Mac/Linux, not a browser-based experience. Performance on the whole seems improved, and you can also expect more maps, hats, speedruns, a nice full-screen mode, and other additions. For a mere three bucks, it's a relatively easy sell. And hey, Mr. Destructoid even makes an appearance! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)OMG!! Will buy as soon as I get home, Rockvillian linked me to the original when it came it out and it was really fun. OH Crap I love that game, It's funny I just recommended that game to someone on the C-Blogs
and another appearance from Mr. Destructoid count me in There's one large problem with the SE version right now. It has its own SE-only multiplayer server, which is -great-...except it doesn't allow you to go to the older, public servers as well. Considering the SE server is (for right now) quite dead, this is a problem. SE needs to have support for the older servers in addition to its sparkly-new one. Our hope is that in time the SE servers will fill up as well. If they don't, we'll consider linking them. there are a few logistical problems with letting people in SE play on the online servers, since the games are a little different in subtle ways (different hats/colors, different maps, much worse lag in the online version, different system of leveling up, spammers / idiots / hackers in the online version) 6:00 AM on 05.10.2013 Disney Infinity's Pirates of the Caribbean gets shown offConfession time: I'm super giddy for Disney Infinity.
