So, some footage was revealed earlier that leaked the first ever full gameplay of Sonic the Hedgehog 4. I don't know about anybody else, but it looked pretty damn swanky to me. However, there was one thing that truly set my heart at ease about the game, more than any video. Xbox Live Marketplace has revealed something very important. It's revealed the developer, and it's not Sonic Team!
Dimps, in case you did not know, has made several Sonic games in the past under the name of Sonic Team. However, unlike Sonic Team, Dimps is a terrific developer. It created the last truly brilliant Sonic game, Sonic Advance, and also developed the Rush titles, along with the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed that is believed by many to be a far superior offering. Dimps also co-developed the console version of Street Fighter IV.
I was holding out hope that Dimps would be named as the developer, as this studio truly knows its stuff and understands Sonic the Hedgehog. For any Sonic fan, this is absolutely fantastic news and I'm positively thrilled to hear it. Sonic 4 just got a whole let better for me.

"Sonic's Sh*tty Friends" ought to be an official club name by now. If the club organizers actually collected membership dues, they might even be able to fund a new SEGA console!

Gaming's sexiest wordsmiths are back once more with verse to melt your ear-holes. This week, we're talking about loading times and Sonic the Hedgehog. You cannot contain your excitement, for God's sake!
As always, this is the best poetry in the world and you cannot argue with that. How is the Xbox One going to sell in Japan? If the new console's version of Kinect is anything like the current version of the peripheral, then probably not too good. Not to sound racist, but Japanese living rooms aren't know...
Here's today's formerly-live Destructoid Show, on which I wear a bad shirt again.

With all of the Nintendo Direct news to have come out this morning, it's been a busy day for Sega. ("Sega Direct," indeed.) It appears as if more Game Gear games will be hitting the 3DS eShop in the coming months, as Nintendo has revealed a ton of info in regards to a partnership with Sega that involves not only retro games, but new ones as well.
