For those who forgot already, this is EXACTLY what they were going to make when they announced Dark Sector... I really wanted that game too, so I guess it looks like I'll finally get it, with a little co-op added in to make up for what they gave me with the Dark Sector they did release. ;)
That man with the horned helmet looks an awful lot like the original 2005 Dark Sector protagonist. Back when the game looked real good :(

am i the only one who enjoyed Dark Sector??
i mean it's one of my first PS3 games, not to mention the game was sold $20 brand new sealed.

I was so upset we got the crap we got rather than the MGS In Space we were promised with that trailer. This looks like it has more action and players than the original idea, but still pretty close.

Oooh it kinda looks like the game Dark Sector was originally going to be. Hope it turns out awesome.
That's why I hate free to play games, especially "core" ones. They almost ALWAYS center on mutliplayer. I hate multiplayer. I hate it with a passion. If you can't offer me a single player game that I can buy outright, I don't want anything to do with your game. Hence why I will not longer be buying anymore Crytek games.
I hated Dark Sector with a passion!!! Please let this be better than that let down of a game! I'm sorry if I'm angry but I looked forward to that game for an entire year and it broke my heart.

I really liked Dark Sector as well. I was disappointed that it was changed so much but now I see that it's basically come back but with a different name.
Dark Sector was a great if repetitive game but it had unique concepts that I liked. Shame it won't get a sequel. I had fun with it.

The retail version of dark sector was unadulterated rubbish, so much preferred the original sci-fi stealth mixed with cyber punk mechs concept:
