Growing up playing arcade machines every opportunity I could find, there were two types of machine that I've always wanted. The first is a Neo-Geo cabinet, which has been fulfilled. Which means that I now must work on convincing my woman that we really need a Ms. Pac-Man cocktail cabinet.

Of course, I'd never considered just miniaturizing the design and producing a cute and striking piece like this. Built by Sam Seide, the mini-cocktail runs MAME on an 8.9" ASUS laptop. He managed to cram six buttons into the small console space and, like all good cocktail-cabs, it supports two players.

Very cool stuff. If you're interested and have the cash, one of these is being auctioned over on eBay. As of right now, it's already at $800 with three days left to go and that's a bit rich for my blood.

Bandai Namco is making Pokkén Tournament with older fans in mind

I get the sinking feeling it'll be a good long while before we get our hands on Pokkén Tournament, Bandai Namco's Pokémon fighting game for arcades (and probably Wii U). Until then, here's another quote about th...more

Pix the Cat is out now and its Nostalgia mode is sweet

For the same reasons I was excited as heck for Cuphead, I am loving Pix the Cat's Snake-like Nostalgia Mode for reminding me of Felix the Cat and 20s animation in general.  And then you realize everything else about this game is nuts and that it's just been released for free for PlayStation Plus members so I'm going to go download that jam right now before my subscription lapses. more
