I'm going to play a monk first. After trying one in the beta, I don't think I've been as excited to play a class in any game for a long time.

Consoles are just too restrictive, not necessarily the hardware that could probably run DX fine. Its the companies in charge of the consoles that are ensuring things like D3 (or really any patch heavy MMO type game) never work out.

@scuffles: they're working on a console version. So....yeah. I could see Xbox not getting it due to ms being restrictive, but if they can acheive their standard of quality, we will see it. I'm betting Wii U and Ps3. Holiday or early 2013.
They wouldn't announce a date without it being true. There's usually millions of dollars tied into advertising. You can't stop that once it starts.

The hipster in me wants to mention something about Torchlight 2, but I see no reason to lie to myself. I'll play the absolutely fuck out of this game and love every second of it.
Will get out of quasi-obligation. I do not like the lack of build customization and inability to bind skills to whatever key I want then to be, and having to do to a menu to choose 2 active skills that can only be bound to the left and right mouse buttons.

Amazing that latin america is mentioned, we always get the digital distribution game anyway. You have to be fucking stupid like EA to block content for latin america and then complain about piracy.

It's already been said that Blizzard is working on console versions. And as far as the PC version goes, I'd say a constant required Internet connection, i.e., bullshit, is a much larger hoop than a console port would be faced with.
And on that note, let me know when Blizzard patches that DRM out, so the game is actually worth buying. Then I'll consider it.

They have a console division, but they never confirmed it for consoles once. They could just be testing for future iterations, a spinoff, or any number of internal R&D purposes. The hoops they'd have to run through to get the paid auction-house to work without paying royalties to MS/Sony/Nintendo would be huge.
I wouldn't wait on a console version if your PC will run it just fine.
