I'm just curious... what exactly has been problematic outside of the day 1 issues? I've had no problems since then.
On top of everything else, I think diablo 3 won't sport as big a playerbase as diablo 2 in 6 months, especially since people will buy all their loot instead of find it, get bored, and quit. I am only in hell difficulty at the moment, and I already feel the lethargy after buying a weapon off the gold auction house. There is less of a reason to keep exploring for loot when it is all easily available for gold.
Friend of mine with an authenticator was hacked a couple days ago.
Some people are speculating it's something to do with an exploit in the Auction House.
Some people on the Diablo 3 forums with authenticators complained about gold/ items going missing. Although some did say that not everything was missing so it's most likely a problem with data being saved as well as hacking. Apparently Blizzard support told most people their accounts had not been compromised, and told some that they wasn't doing character roll-backs.
Although I have no idea how much of this is true or it's just people making shit up, since I pretty much got all this info from forum posts.

However nobody is going to be guessing an authenticator number within the 30 seconds before it rotates, so I would still like to hear from someone with an auth that got hacked so we can hear some detail behind it.
Come on people, there's no excuse to not have one. It's even free for phones.
So... go hackers? :/
Diablo 3? doesn't exist.
I think maybe once? But I cant say for certain, because I didn't have my eye glued on the Diablo 3 Server Status page for days on end.
Use special characters people! With a capital letter, number and special character it would take the fastest computer in the world around 10,000 years to guess it.
Anyone know if this is only an EU problem?
Which, ok.. that sucks and all, I can forgive that, but as the "uptime" goes.. when I lose twenty minutes of play and lose all that progress because of some issue that their server disconnected me - that's a big deal and makes me iffy about wanting to play it again. I'm seeking a refund. Yeah it'll be a pain in the ass but I'm going to try.. I wish I hadn't supported this always online BS.. I bought impulsively.
Then theres all this server muck ups wiping character items and gold, achievements broken, and now mass account hacks(from the sound of things, dont know how many are hacks and how many are server fuckups but its more than a few.
*scratches head* So how was this "Online only" stuff supposed to be a good thing for the players?
Well, I'm happy i didn't buy this game. Saves me so much hustle now. Seriously thou it makes me want to wait for pirate edition, even thou i don't pirate at all. Because if it happened so early in the cycle then it will happen again at some point in the future. Shame :/
You realize there is a free application available for Android/iOS right? Completely free.
If RMT can't inflate, they'll deflate AH items so no player sees a profit in it and they'll still rake in monty. If deflation is made difficult, they'll just keep on hacking accounts like we're seeing now and find new holes to exploit.
The RMT sweatshops have an advantage Blizzard and players will never have - they're on 24/7, they work in shifts and aren't daunted by accounts deleted - they just start a new account. The irony is Blizzard should know from WoW that this fight is nothing short of futile.
The only way to beat an RMT sweatshop is to obsolete their service, which Blizzard won't do because that stops their resubscriptions to WoW or buying new copies of Diablo to try again, but there are ways to remove RMT sweatshops from the equation by game design and other entries in the genre have done it.
This is "okay", because the items were acquired legitimately. (then stolen)
